I've put in over 1200 miles in my pair of 37s and two pairs of 38s. No popping, but I run entirely on the road. Guessing the trail debris is more likely to puncture the air unit. I'm about 150 miles in with the 39s, and I love them.
I got the peg 39s at the beginning of this xc season and they’re the only running shoes that I’ve used (let alone, have had) for every workout, long run, and race and after like 130 miles in them, I can agree that they are the most versatile pair of running shoes that you can get. :D
Same over here in Europe. Many ppl don't like them, but I always caught myself picking my Peg 39s over all my other shoes, like the Novablast 2 or Asics Cumulus 24. I really like the Peg 39 - also I got these for like 75 bucks.
Just got back into running and got Peg 39. It's probably the best shoe when you're beginner or getting back into running as it's so versatile. I also got myself Hoka Mach 4 which has much smoother transition from heel to toe compared with rather disjointed ride (classic feel) on Peg 39. For me they both make great combo: Peg 39 for ParkRuns, running when it's wet, bit of XC (I mostly run on tarmac), Mach 4 on when it's mostly dry, tarmac, long runs especially. Also Hoka Mach 4 has 5mm drop compared with 10mm on Peg 39: it feels more natural, no rubber on the outsoles, but less durable. All in all I wouldn't have either of those shoes on their own, need both for different purposes and make running more fun, plus you're building strong legs/feet when running in different shoes. As a result you minimize the risk of injury. But yeah, Peg 39 is the bast starting point. Basically you go from there towards building your shoe rotation (if running is something you want to take further).
@@victor3740 they are a solid all round shoe. I use them in basically all my runs including easy, speed and long runs. They feel great going fast but also have nice cushion for when u just wanna go slow. However, hokas are probably better for those easy days, never tried a pair tho, just from what I heard
@@victor3740 they’re not super aggressive and make good all round shoes but work even better in a rotation with something like Hoka Cliftons for recovery days
Thank you for the review. Currently use Nike Metcom 3 for all day use, plus workout and running and have lasted longer than most of my shoes so far. Reebok Nano lasted a while and we’re versatile, also.
I’m an eighth grader from Indiana that runs cross country. I was wondering if you could get in touch and give me some tips on running the 3k. I just set a pr and ran a 10:50. This is good, but from now on i’m going to try and run 25-30 miles a week which I think will really help my time. Do you think that is good? Also I was wondering what your time for a 3k was in middle school? Another thing is some good workouts for me since i’m going to be starting running 5ks during the winter? Please answer, because I could not think of a better person to ask than some of the best young runners, L&L.
Asics Nimbus Lite ( doesn’t matter which model ) is probably a bit heavier but you can run a 1000 miles in them without any problems. I have had 4 pairs and all of them got to about 1700km ( 1100miles ) before I started to see signs of needing a new pair. On top of that it is very comfortable and you can also do anything in them from easy runs to a hard tempo .
Currently switching between the 38s and 39s. I’ve been lucky enough to not have a pop after a combined 500+ miles, considering getting the Mach 5s as one of my next pairs but not sure yet
Ok so it's not just me. I saw in the video that the Nike logo on the side of the shoes was pealing off. Me being picking I personally just don't like how they had the Nike logo out like that I think I would of prefer it printed on
Hey guys! I am a beginning runner and I am currently a little overweight at around 6’3 200. I was just wondering if there is a stable shoe that anybody would recommend for a beginner/ someone that isn’t quite as light as an average runner?
If you're a beginner runner it's best to go to a local running store and get fitted, there they'll give you some shoe recommendations (and maybe some shilling).
I agree, I think unless you are a heel striker the 38 just work better even if they feel a bit less responsive, the flow of the shoe just feels better in the 38 and it’s a lot cheaper now
Hello how would you know if the air popped in Pegasus ? I’m heavy and bought a new pair was walking and was too late too notice I stepped on some pieces of broken glass on street … there’s no picture sight or tear so should I be concerned ?
I wouldn't be concerned unless they feel like they aren't working as they should. also if they feel like one shoe is performing worse than the other, one is likely popped. its really only an issue in obscure instances.
@@LLexandleovloggs I see thank you for response I’m enjoying it these a lot(new to running shoes + got em for $60) was concerned bc I seen a few ppl say similar so I guess it’s a longevity issue which I get since all Nike air shoes go bad
Two problems I see with this shoe that are my pet peeves of new concept shoes. 1 I hate when shoe companies sell you a shoe that relies on the laces to find your support. They should come closer together at the top. 2 i hate the slip on style they have in front. A good shoe to show what I mean by support everywhere is the Nike torch. Recently I had to send a pair back Because the shortened the width up front by half an inch.

Air bubble popping is the literal worst, seems to be happening more and more with new Peg models
Been running in pegs since the 32 back in 2015, never had a problem
Every single pair of pegs I’ve had have popped before the foam wore out. Really irritating
The best part though is that you can get a full refund if you bought through nike and then get new shoes
@@ericburns577 whats the feelimg then the zoom air popped?
I ran in them with the air pooped for months 😞 without knowing
I nearly spit out my matcha green tea when he said “easy recovery 7:00 min pace” 😂
Man what I thought I was the only one he dissed us and didn’t even realize it 😂
I do 7 minute pace 30 minutes steady pace bruh how tf does he do that easy recovery
When you runs 14:10 3 mile you’re easy pace will be faster

Could you do an Updated shoe running rotation?
If your excited for the new vid

I’ve had the peg 39s but I prefer the saucony endorphin speed
Those saucong shoes are for workouts from what I’ve heard

Gj mine was 11 flat for an eith grader and somebody told me 25-30 miles is good a week and do some hills
For the mile
Yesss, y’all are the best people ever

i got both pegasus 39s and Mach 5. Love them both
are they completely useless if they pop?
When’s the first meet for yall
Do you prefer to run in spikes or flats for races?
They wear spikes
Hey Lex and Leo! We miss you! When's another video coming up? :)
Yall should join strava
I agree
Agreed. Leo even has an account
@@david14431 they both do

i think they don’t have strava because they don’t want people taking NP’s training plans
Love the new music
How can you tell when it has popped ?
it may feel particularly flat on one side. I recommend comparing each shoe side by side
is lex wearing the nike fast shorts?
what’s the best way to prevent popping the air pocket on the 39s?
not buying them

try sauconys edorphin line.. i been using them for years and love them. also i don't like nike lol
where's lex's maroon bracelet from?

At 9.2 oz, aren’t these kind of heavy?
can you review the dragon flys

thanks for making a video on this! personally, when I bought the shoe, I thought I would love it. however, the drop did not work for me and my feets
Those really easy days when you are going 7 flat 🤣💀
i'm not able to find those in the same color from the video on nike official website , someone has any suggestions
I've got to be honest I thought the new Nike Pegs were really disappointing. The Nike Invincibles blow them out the water
I put more than 2 million steps into my Peg 38’s and nothing has popped.
Great vid!
best spikes for xc?
This convinced me to get them
Try the endorphin speed and pro 3
You should do a video about running watched and your race shoes

How long does it take for the pegs 39s to break in
I would say around 25 miles because I have ran in them for about 100 miles! I suggest the 38s a little more as of right now.

The Peg Trail 4's are nearly as good, and they don't have air pockets

how do you feel about running fast while you're old?
It’s not a flaw that is “fatal” if you still recommend to run in the shoes. Instead, you can call it a “major flaw” in future videos.
