just having a Blast with the Boys. Love Love LOVE It. wich recording was better but Robert Plant in a little setting like this, I still enjoy it. thanks for the post
Robert is the best. He had a couple rough years around 73-75, but I feel he has gotten better every year since then. I feel 95-98 was his peak post-Zeppelin, but his newer stuff is just as good. He doesn't stretch his voice as much, but every note he does go for is pure solid gold. That's the difference between him and the other guys. Ian Gillan or Roger Daltry may still scream and hit the high notes, but their voices are strained and thinner. Robert still has that deep tone a vibrato, and he's smart with his voice so when he does go for the high notes, it is solid.
Over 3,000 views in just over 24 hours- 34 likes and 2 dislikes probably my next door neighbours !! - Hopefully this will kick start a bit of interest for Hereford in the music circuit- alike our town we get very little passing traffic but its great when we do. If you have the time to search out Deborah Bonham Band tracks take a look at Butlins 2016 Heaven" and "Rebel Rebel" then when you really want to listen and watch view the song "No Angel" at Chippenham back in 2012. Meanwhile make the effort to support the future of live music and prolong the dancing days.
Robert showing a little of all his vocal reaching. That recording is not so good, but we can listen to Plant going high like in the golden years. He still can!
+lorny lofchick the sound is recorded on the camera stood 6feet away from the guitar amp, I'm surprised the camera picked anything up at all, that amp was really loud.
The video was done on a small Leica D-Lux4 camera. To enable it to be steady it was placed directly on the loudspeaker cabinet . I had a Nikon D550 with a slightly damaged zoom lens to take the photos. The video came out very well and rather captured the awe of Robert Plant who was simply the real "Tall Cool One" on the night . You can see he has picked up some sound issues early on the mic and changed and controlled the end result so professionally that no problem occurred. Take a look further at this band Pete Bullick's one hell of a great guitarist - just watch the video "No Angel" at Chippenham its worth the education.
What was this recorded on?? An old push button Compact Cassette Mono Recorder?? I cant belive the guitarist kept playing over Robert's Harmonica, after Several Hand Signs TO CUT and let Plant have his little Solo Piece!! Must have been Much Better to have Been There, than listen to this mediocre to poor recording of a Classic time, just jammin' with some old friends!!
Robert thanks for existing. Love you 🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤
Robert thank you for sharing. Always a joy to see you and your mesmerizing vocal abilities. I can't get tired of you.
