    Excellent video as always! Just to add, atrial contraction (systole) results in an increase in atrial pressure that forces a little more blood into the ventricles. This additional volume of blood is called the atrial kick and it accounts for about 5-30% of cardiac output.

    It is very useful and well explained. I have one question though. Do you know why electrical conduction speed of Atrio-Ventricular node in the heart is very slow, while that of Purkinje Fibres is very fast?

      Ece Süreyya Dağdelen decreased number of gap junctions in the AV Node region make the conduction of the impulse slow / cause that delay he was speaking about
