Today we are looking at the rapidly developing class of electric motorcycles. The list contains models that are already on sale or will be coming soon. Which of these is your top pick?
The Verge in orange /black looks good....you forgot the Lightening LS All the ebikes have exaggerated range figures....itll be a while before battery technology is sufficient enough to make ebikes a viable option in my opinion
@@automotiveterritory They are exaggerated when continuously aggressive riding is taken into consideration...they wouldn't want me taking their ebikes out for a balls to the wall ride to see how short of range is possible...hence, still obsolete by some riders standards....I'd love putting it to the test ,disclosing actual battery drain from full charge to zero in a track environment.
I charge my car off the solar panels on my house and have never used anything else. My problem is the only ones available where I live is Zero. To expensive for what exists that will meet my commuting needs. I will go as high as 11000 but it has to have lvl 2 6kw charging and some cargo space at that price. BMW may be a good option soon.
@@jafajustanotherfrustrateda8935 Thanks for comment. But I am referring to actually plugging directly into a set of panels, not going through an expensive solar house array system. =)
the frame of the Triumph Project TE-1 needs a lot to be desired for . . . expect something like 133 bhp - 142 bhp in the final production variant . . . the Damon HF Collosus could do with a 38.3 kWh battery which should give it a range of 260 miles or more . . . Eessaaa . . . what??? who names a bike like that . . .
My favorite is the Verge. The whole point of electric bikes is to have less moving parts, so getting rid of the transmission is worth having more unsprung weight. Electric bikes with gears are a joke.
Imagine a tuff gang of tattooed bikers teaming up on electric Harley's sounding like sewing machines. Without the roar of a gasoline chopper the world both looks and sounds different.

I don't think that the range figures are exaggerated, we just need to look up the speeds at which these range estimations here recorded.

When they make them so they can charge off solar panels, I will buy one.
When they can make reliable solar panels I might think about it too. (or mount a windmill on the back seat).

I should amend that I also don't like wrenching on my bike so some electric garages with qualified techs will be needed as well.

I'm afraid it's not how this works. You would at least need to have an inverter for the solar.

That's an interesting comparison. Do sewing machines really sound like that?
What about atomic power? No charge no gas's!
Hydrogen works too. We are not out of oil. Just missing a President.
Do you mean a nuclear powerplant for every bike?
