- This is a video on how to properly splice and replace your 2007 Honda Accord 2.4L 4 Cylinder engines ignition coil pigtail connector. A few symptoms of a bad ignition coil pigtail connector are: loss of power, check engine light on, poor fuel economy, backfiring, misfiring, hard starts, stalling, jerking and vibrating.

Thx for this video, my honda civic ex 2011 has the same problem and I couldn’t find any other video that showed so well what I need to do, my pigtail connectors are getting here next, I’m definitely coming back to watch this tutorial again

If the clip on my connector broke off , could I only change the plastic part of the connector or would I need the entire connector with the wires changed?
Hey thanks for watching. Sometimes you can get the little connectors out and replace just the plastic part but mine were so brittle they broke inside of the connector so I just spliced one on. Hope this helps and hope you’ll sub.
@@ucanfixit1 instead of splicing you could have de-pinned both connectors and stuck the same wires in the new connector and not splice anything
@@R00tOn3X couldn’t do it on mine the actual aluminum pins the wires go into were all bent, trust me I would rather go that route!
I got one but didn’t work I just tied it in the black and white wire on the other ones

Can one connector being broken cause crank no start ?
Definitely, I’d start with fixing the connection then going from there if the issue still persists.
