when you progress the game you realize that jason went from wanting to escape the island with his friends to a complete murdering psychopath
Great redemption arc though.
@@connordorman117 depends on your ending
@@kaua7561 most people went for the good ending though. I like the symbology of Jason'a tattoos appearing to burn off when Citra drugs him, warning him that if he does the right thing he kills all his progress as the warrior he became.
To quote DJ Peach Cobbler, "It's as if Mario had rescued Princess Peach but then continued stomping goombas because it's all he knows anymore"
And not wanting to leave the island as he now not just loves killing but needs it he loses his sanity
Jason 1000% lost it and he himself became insane and became Vaas in his own sense.
Well done, that’s the plot of far cry 3
when Vaas says, "let me be reborn", it kind of implies that after he dies, Jason becomes Vaas in his own sense
You, watched this comparison over and over again?
Did I ever tell you what the definition of insanity is? Insanity is doing the exact... same fucking thing... over and over again expecting... shit to change...
Jason immediately got sent to jail after he stepped foot into America
i mean, the insanity speech, and the i am you and you are me kinda imply that
The roles truly switched in the end.
Well vaas didn't really fight back because the other bosses in far cry 3 had QuickTime events but vaas doesn't because he let's it happen and he could have probably grabbed the knife because he looks down while Jason drops it and his arms don't move an inch until he gets stabbed
@@flarestone vaas couldve fought back but he didnt want to. he wanted to die. he wanted Jason to kill him
@@madmannn9576 There is no reason to believe that Vaas could have won that fight, Jason stabbed him before he could react, Jason outboxed Vaas
@@madmannn9576 but Jason didn’t kill him and now he’s has great partnership with tennis balls
@@kevinfloiger7197 yh he could
The look in Jason's eyes... Wow.
He looks proud,and insane
Cocaine’s a Hell of a drug.
the players when they killed vaas
High on coke
The aftereffects of the burnt weed fumes LOL
I've always imagined Jason's face in that moment... and Vaas remembers it so differently from what I saw. I didn't see a smile. I didn't see joy in killing Vaas. I saw rage. Tears. Memories of the lost. And then... an overwhelming feeling of relief, which knocked him out.
The thing is, Jason during gameplay starts to love killing people.
He feels alive doing it, and I think, he wasn't even aware most of the times how happy he was while killing.
He became Vaas that wore blue, only thing is, that he had a choice in the end (ending choosing between Citra and Friends) to try become human again
@@diegostach9563 I thought so too, yes. But what I was actually going at was that was remembers Jason as much more of a psychopath as Jason saw himself. And as the player saw Jason, too.
@@diegostach9563 assuming that players didnt choose citra and became jason becoming a potato
@@diegostach9563I have doubt that Jason truly became sane if he chose to leave. I think he’s probably still insane.
@@wolverinexo6417 Hell no he became sane.
After what he did on the island he 100% had some PTSD.
Still, I think game in which you play as Jason again in California would be awesome.
You know, at start we would have introduction to his life.
At first, how his parents and police, and essentially government (because of Willy's) reacted to him being mass murderer hiding behind "Self-defence act".
Game would tell story about how he started to have normal life after few years of therapy, and how his friends also changed.
Then, everything would change one night, when Jason's parents would be murder by someone living some kind off note that would portray the island.
Jason would go to his friends, after dealing with police to see if they are okay.
He would have found Lisa attacked by a man in disguise, Jason would turn on his savage mode and kill the guy.
He then would see the guy have some kind off tattoo, maybe Warriors or Pirates of the island one.
Somehow, he would end up in island resembling place, and protect his friends.
He would've been contacted by government, and Willy's.
At the end, he would learn that all of this was Vaas' doing and he's alive and well.
Idk, just random idea in my head lol
Damn, this sync is awesome! Much-much better then the ones I saw before
Sim amigo eu amei também
There's a reason why a lot of the things including the menu or the loading icon are in palindrome/mirrored in FC3. Vaas and Jason were reflections of each other.
the first thing you see on the game after starting it is a reflection of Vaas. Meaning you'll always be Vaas in your heart, because that's the player's fate. And the things Vaas does are all things that bored players do: torture, mass killing, hoarding money from any possible source, taking drugs.
"You're just like me " MGR:R
The Narrato and Tyler Durden
That far cry 3 and 6 synch was GLORIOUS!
yes
the smile in jason face when he stab vaas tells me he is the definition of insanity
He just does the same...fucking thing over and over and over
As Vaas said insanity is doing the exact same fucking thing, over and over again, expecting shit to change. What does Mr. Brody does, murder and murder, to get his friends back.

Far Cry 3: Vaas is confirmed dead
Far cry 6: Apparently not.
Dan Hay: I wrote Vaas, he died!
Navid: Well you left Ubi after FC5, I can do whatever I want.
I just want to see more Michael Mando, he was great in BCS
Vaas is too great to die forever 🙄🙄
@@hannibalburgers477 I just want him to completely fall into his role as Scorpion.
well he make a plothole with making us dont see Vaas death body that we burn, bury, or mutliate
To be fair, Vaas' eyes flick towards Jason when he's "laying there dead" and then when we wake up his body is nowhere to be found. Even FC3 hinted he might not actually be dead, the FC6 DLC just took that breadcrumb and ran with it
It's crazy how turned completely around Jason was at the end of the game. He went from being grossed out because he stabbed somebody,to enjoying explosions and stabbings. The roles truly switched at the end.
Jason... look... look how they massacred my boy... his hair is even more fucked up now
i mean after everything can you blame him for having such a psycho look
Yeah I really didn’t expect them to make his hair all spiky and grown out but I guess it adds more to the realism..?
I think they tried to make his hair mirror Vaas' mohawk in a way, it does look pretty derpy lol
Vaas's sister's face looks way worse what the hell
He is now Tord Larsson from Eddsworld
Years later, Jason changing from scared rich kid to a savage jungle warrior still hits like a truck.
Seeing it like this makes it 10x more dramatic and crazy, i love it
In vaas pov jason was terrifying af
Imagine being vaas. Some boy you captured, which you yourself called "california boy" because he is nothing like the fighter you are, goes on a fucking rampage and murders hundreds of your men and no matter what you do, he refuses to die only to stab you to death with a smile on his face
The sync is amazing wish it was in the game
Farcry 3: Vaas: 😈🗡️Jason: 😰
Farcry 6: Vaas: 😰 Jason: 😈🗡️
This scene holds a very special place in my heart. One of the best moments in gaming
I have a fun theory that Vaas was like Jason once and he had a similar traumatic experience that made him go absolutely nuts
Far cry 6 vaas dlc explains that exact notion
I thought it was because of his sister that he became that.
Citra Played both of them. She's why Vaas is like that.
The real far cry 3 villain is jasons barber
It was the 2010s man, tribal tats and the jersey shore haircut were in
Jason was a daredevil/adrenaline junkie. After being taught how to fight and survive on Rook Island and Citra stroking his ego, it makes complete sense why he found enjoyment in the slaughter.
This is fricking cool bro, I like the switch of POV’s between in swing/stab
God i miss farcry 3 and this dlc truly was a masterpiece
i love this edit, the song the transition everyhting are on spot
I really like how the interactions with vaas change in pov like all of interactions with vaas usually show him above you or free and in control but in the last encounter your finally to his level like how you are just as crazy as he is while it also shows that you are stronger and better than vaas being able to stand toe to toe to him but I could just be reading to deep into things
Im a lil late on this but ya know, the whole Vaas and Jason suffering the same paths is even more ironic that after Vaas failed killing Jason over and over, Jason failed killing him as well. Even if a retcon, the consistency with 3's story is still awesome.
Not only in story line but in the whole intro scene, they recreated the exact same scene from Vaas' perspective, same moves and everything and gave Jason a new face model (his expression still terrifies me)
u should have added when Vaas came back to life.. in Fc 3 he opened his eyes again and didn't die
Ubisoft is really a genius they made Vaas's eyes open again apparently as a continuation in Fc6
Vaas died slowly. If Vaas had win shot on head, he wouldn't open the eyes. But I believe that Vaas is dead because the Hoyt's soldiers always talk each other about Vaas's body and Hoyt promised head of Jason Brody (revenge)
@@kratos7402 No he very much is alive. He survived it and Idk how but he is alive as we see him in the end of a secret cutscene in his DLC. You see him again after completing the Stranger Things quest in FC6. He survived.
That would make a lot of sense since we only see him look at us when we succumb to the poison/drug Vaas used on Jason. Seeing how Vaas wakes back up in his DLC, he seems to feel extremely in pain as if the wounds were extremely fresh helping the fact that he was still alive.
Vaas is not dead he is living in yara islands
@@baranbattal4658 Thats what I said, he is still alive. In his DLC he wakes up and yells in pain as he reaches for where the stab wounds are, showing the pain is really fresh and he survived the attack Jason made
I mean, sure, Vaas has the sick beard & haircut, the chaotic eyeliner, the raddest sayings, etc, etc. But when you look into the eyes, Jason looks way more like a terrifying psycho to me.
If this game did not have any Hoyt, and Riley was hidden at Vaas' camp, so you set him free after this mission, and then you go to last mission, this game would have a perfect ending.
Also, it could be redone so after you kill Vaas and choose to stay, you can continue gameplay by having to kill Hoyt.
Similar thing was done with Resident Evil 4.
You mean the seperate path?
yeah you would either choose to stay with citra and finish off hoyt and all the pirates or just dip with riley and others after ‘killing’ vaas only if they had riley in vaas’s camp
The editing is so good, love it
it's about damn time we get the villains prospective
I loved Vaas’ dlc, it was absolutely fun playing as him. It made me chuckle a few times.
We never left the Island
Me or them. Them or you.
You are me and I am you
This was the moment Vaas Montenegro became Nacho Varga
Why does Vaas see the same TV screens everywhere that Jason was hallucinating?
In my opinion, it's more of a matter of perspective and truth. Both ended up thrown in a road they didn't want to take, yet they had to because someone else told them to do it. Jason had Dennis and Citra, Vaas had Citra and maybe Hoyt. Watch Vaas' "death" in FarCry 6, he starts looking at a TV just like a mirror, but then it turns into Jason. Does the TV reflect reality or is it an illusion? With so many things affecting your mind, how can you say what's true and what's false? Can you believe your own eyes?
Jason looks scared and angry at the same time 😨
I think the pirates had a reason to be scared of Jason Brody
"You are so fucked Jason"
Also Jason:I will do it again
Damn that was a good game but I wish ubisoft tried to make a good game again
Far cry 4 was good, even 5 was good didn't like new dawn and 6 that much tho
5 > 3 if we're comparing everything

"The californian boy got high on jungle fever"
- Vaas
Far Cry 6 shows that Vaas was reborned
he now sees his sister's Negative Influence on him
and finally confronted her
Jason on the other hand became Vaas but 10x more bloodthirsty
Jason looks so goddamn manic.
Jason Brody is by far the best Farcy character still today. Backstory, story arc, character look, etc. Wish they would bring him back somewhere down the line. Like he has major PTSD but he is still a fighter..
Good joke but Joseph Seed clear
One of the things I didn't notice playing FC3 when younger was how feverish and insane Jason's voice starts to get the further into the game you go, and how freaked out his friends slowly become. You never see his face, and it's easy to think the whole time he's just trying to avenge his brother the first playthrough. It wasn't till I played it again years later I noticed the difference, and the crazed drugged up look seen here perfectly matches what he's actually become in the game.
Became the very thing he swore to destroy
Watching this again, reminds me that one memory show that Citra tried to stabbed Vaas' chest specifically in the heart but miss. So I guess that's why the Vaas survive in the secret ending.
Vaas survives because Jason never killed him, him "killing" Vaas near the end of far cry 3 were just hallucinations
Still kinda crazy that vaas is the same actor for nacho varga from better call Saul
That look on Jason's face is bone chilling.
pov a skin walker asks me if i want to buy some girl scout cookies
I can't get over how Jason looks in the Far Cry 6 DLC
He looks like Peter Griffin when he did Meth XD
My theory is
Jason sees only blue mist because he see himself finally more in power of the situation but vaas at first see a purple mist because he sees them on balance but when vaas goes down the mist goes to greenish to blue as he see Jason powerful but you see some redish purple mist sprinkle in as vaas still in control a bit but Jason was stronger
Yo! People are sleeping on this vid. Hope it goes viral
There no light in Jason eyes. It's sad to think that he just another that can manipulate so easily after Vaas finally broke Citra mind games. Basically Jason just Vaas 2.0 until Jason decided not to kill his friends which his main priorities at the first place.
He's literally Vaas 2.0 considering Vaas was going through exactly the same Warrior road as Jason did but he couldn't go through with Citra's abuse and manipulation anymore, drowning himself in drugs even more than he already did and ending up with Hoyt
First Farcry game I played was 3. Blew my mind. Absolutely loved it. Spent my senior year of highschool playing it. Great memories
my fav character was Vaas
when he died :
😭😢
Its so creepy how jasons head and face doesnt move an inch when hes slashing with the knife.
Fucking love Jason and Vaas both. Best MC and best villain of the entire series...and perhaps all of gaming.
Yeah Vaas is easily on the top 3 villains of all time in video games and 100% the best villain in far cry history
the real dagger was inside you all along
Damn with Vaas's pov we really are the goddamn villain.
It's so cool that citra is shown beside jason in vaas' point of view as if to showthat vaas knew citra was munipulating jason
Man I didn’t know Nacho was in Far Cry 3.
(For those who don’t know, Vaas is played by the Actor who plays Nacho in BCS)
If people dont know that they'll have know idea what you mean by BCS...
There was a scene in BCS (I forgot which episode) where Nacho was opening a safe in a closet and he was wearing a red tank top.
I’m willing to bet that was a nod to his Vaas character in FC3
Vaas took "I'll make a man out of you" to the next level
Vaas and Jason. Jason and Vaas. It is one and the same person.
the satisfaction on jason's face
Did I ever tell you the definition of insanity?
10M Views in 3 months is Insanity! But hey, who doesn't love a little madness on the internet? Keep smashing those like and subscribe buttons, my fellow crazies! 💥🔥🎥
Что бы убить Вааса, ему самому пришлось стать им
It makes me so happy that far cry 3s plot as simple as it is in some areas, is still discussed because of the allure and depth in some sense of the characters
Yo sigo sin entender porque El Rubius mató al Xocas
This is a fucking awesome edit
Everyone here definitely watched the Pyrocynical Video
All of Far Cry passed before my eyes 🥲🥲
Did I ever tell you what the definition of insanity is? Insanity is doing the exact same fucking thing over and over again, expecting shit to change
For those who don't know, this is the definition of insanity...
это выглядит очень эпично
That edit is so sick brooo
Wow this is well editited, music sounds a bit weird after Vaas stabbed Jason tho
We are so f*cked up, Jason...
It took me this long to realize that David Benioff and DB Weiss obviously just played Far Cry 3 and wanted to put this scene in at the end of Game of Thrones
Vaas to me in farcry 6 doesn’t seem like the same in farcry 3 in which he looks content with getting stabbed but in 6 to me it felt like the was unexpected and vaas couldn’t have done anything to stop it
Even in FC3 everyone on that Island was terrified of Jason. With good reason too.
*You are me*
*And I am you*
Genius great job 👏
Did anybody noticed that Jason's arm were shaking right after the stabbing?
10/10 ❤
Naw that is To clean
This reminds me of the Corvo vs Daud POV video.
What I love most about Far Cry 6, is that they basically confirm what we all thought; and that Vaas wasn't actually dead.
Vaas is without a doubt, one of the most recognisable and influential video game villains ever. More people outside of the Far Cry series know who Vaas is; than people who know what Far Cry is in general. It's not even striking gold. It's striking pure platinum.
1000/10 🔥🔥
Far cry 3 you think "ok Jason's making sure its done right"
Vaas DLC you realize he's doing it cause he likes it
In one vision citra stabs vaas but misses his heart and from what I saw Jason missed his heart
His haircut oh my god
awesome!!
THE DEFINITION OF INSANITY.....
Now we all know where did Arya from Game of Thrones learn his decisive attack to the King of the Night.
I was wondering where game of thrones got the inspiration for their scene lmao
Far crys true villain is jason's barber i mean bro look at that goofy haircut 💀
That was the hair back then 😂 I kinda like it
a side by side screen would've been a ton better
And vaas still is alive even in far cry 6
When arya did this in game of thrones i was like yoooo
