I drove the Dalton Hwy last year and was one of the most amazing experiences of my life. I drove it in a Rav4 too. The peace and serenity can't be described in words. Thanks for the upload!!
I smiled for the entire video remembering the drive. Thanks so much for capturing the moment when we thought the road repair guys where going to dump a huge bucket of dirt on our van! From my view out the passenger window it looked like it was much closer.
Susan, it was lovely to meet you both on this epic journey! Thank you for the temporary glass repair kit and assistance. I don’t think the glass would have held up all the way to deadhorse without it! 🙏🤗
We do it in June with our class c freedom elite 29ft,4 days Fairbank. Prudoe Fairbank, including the bus tour,no problem at all as we waited for good dry weather, wet or rainy is probably an other story and memories to tell Later
That is an Alyeska Pipeline access road, yes. There are hundreds of them--where there's an overhead barrier like that it's because the access crossed under the pipeline and the barrier is a preventive measure.
Just curious how long it takes to cross from tip to tip of alaska by road and ferry if necessary? Google said 3 days. If so that nuts. It takes that to cross half the lower 48
@@ChillinDrives I like it but I was wondering why it looks like it's turning and leaning with the curves. but maybe it's because of the wide angle and the image stabilization 🤭 again this is absolute relaxation. I was just siting in my comfy chair and doing nothing else than watching this for 2h yesterday. Just listening to the wind noises and the gravel and looking at the road and trees and sky
Thanks!
Joe, thank you so much for the super thanks! We really appreciate it.

Wow, that’s great!! Totally agree 👍
Those potholes were crazy! I loved the beautiful blue skies and miles and miles of nothing but landscape.
Imagine seeing this in 50 years. This is historic footage.
I agree, interesting to see how it evolves. Thanks for watching.
Really impressed how they built the highway under these conditions 👏🏻
Thanks a lot for sharing this adventure 👍🏻
Yes, a lot of work to create and maintain it. The road seems pretty solid! Thanks for watching.

That’s great, did you see any critters?
Great video!
What was your average speed?
Any idea what the gated road @ 11:00 was for? Pipeline access?
Average speed was 34mph. I am not sure 🤔
