This technical piece of art gives me the chisel to reveal the hidden harmonies that is deep inside me. I'm grateful that the synergy Mojave Audio and Sweetwater provides this amazing chance to everyone ✨

I have a 57 and a cheap condenser. I really think that a Mojave is a mic that I’m gonna buy and will stand the test of time. I don’t hear anything about needing something better. I like the price point and think that you could buy one and flat never need anything else, never outgrow one if these. They will be just as relevant in 30 years as they are today... without paying U87 prices.

Is the MA 50 a good choice for voiceover? Or what would you recommend in the line up if not? Thanks!

Hey, Brian! It's Mickey from Sweetwater, thanks for reaching out! While I have a soft spot for the entire Mojave line (and the MA-50 would work just fine for voice over work), my personal choice for this duty would be the MA-201Fet. The transformer inside of the 201Fet adds a nice low mid bump, and adds a level of articulation that the MA-50 can sometimes lack.

Whoa, whoa, whoa!! None of the JAN tubes were designed for microphones! They were designed for things such as guided missile systems (rated at 10,000 hours of operation time due to military standards), much like the VF14 was used in wehrmacht radios and the BV8 transformer was used for the V2 rocket! Let's not mix up our info here!

I think he referred to the circuit was designed specifically to work with this tube.
