Do you have any advice about outboard tube compressors? Is it common to use them in conjunction with a tube mic if that’s your main mic or is that way too warm?

Thats absolutely what I do. The Manley Core PLUS the MA300... Tube goodness :) Not "to warm" or muddy at all!
