A lot of questions here, but I’ll go with one: What is the Rivera amp model and what settings do you have it dialed in at?
Rivera is the KR7 and settings I don’t fully remember, but are very similar to Adam Jones 10k days settings.

Is there a significant difference between the straight mesa and the angled one?
Yeah quite different. The straight has more low end to it.

the angled cabs tend to shoot high-end into your face which I tend to avoid. I love my straight rectifier cab.
