It sounds like your usual Patagonia size is M, if you didnt need the extra arm length would the M have fit? I'm between M and L but usually wear M in Patagonia.

The front pocket on the male and female appear to be different sizes. Is this true? Or just me imagining things?
You are correct! The men's pocket is slightly larger, about one inch (2.5 cm) bigger. Both jackets are size large (men's and women's versions).
so sad they made the breast pocket so small. its the best place to keep batteries warm(phone,gps,powerbank)
the should make it bigger and one pocket in each side,then we are close to a perfect combo piece.(r1 air. + thin windbreaker)
How is the stink factor? Some polyesters can get stinky fast.

We’ve had them for about a year now and no pilling yet. 😁
