@@siriuslysalem my roommate had a brilliant idea I'm gonna try. She went and got her 8x10 opaque baking dish! It's only like 3" tall haha. Once I have him reliably putting toys into it, I bet transitioning the command to the cube shaped bin we have (that will require a stretch on his part) will be possible 🥰
I adopted my dog last year, he’s is around 13 years old but still a puppy. he’s a very good boy but he was never trained to do things like this so it takes a while to learn new tricks and a LOT of patients. (he was a cousin’s dog but we took him in when they had to move). thank you for the helpful tips :D
@@lucy.brenn4nCorrection, you don't think he's funny others do. You getting annoyed about someone's sense of humour is also funny, and kind of sad at the same time. 😢
A gold star would be nice thanks, still stand by what I said. It's a bit sad/funny that these things bother you. I'd hate to go through life with such minor things bothering me. Try enjoying your life a little more, you've only got one after all. Oh and apparently you get gold stars for being happy😁
Great training and how to video. I have two huskies and they’re so stubborn but with a lot of patience I’m sure they’ll get it. Will try this technique! Thanks for sharing.
Not at all! I’d start easy tho with like spin. Practice him listening to basic stuff like sit and lay down first. Then start the more difficult stuff once he’s listening better
My shitzu keeps just biting it, and dropping it immediately - any tips on how to create a hold? I tried your put my hand in the box, but then he drops the toy and comes towards the box :(
My dog just keeps on jumping at me and biting my hands. He's a gsd and i am overpowered very easily. Tho i made him learn sit and down. But that just it. He's 11months old
I have a 6 month German Sheperd and he will pick it up and drop it into the basket but he is getting better at putting it into the basket with lots of misses lol what’s the number 1 trick you like to teach ur dogs?
Some dogs take time! Take steps back and work on teaching your dog how to hold an item first. Then come back to this. I’ve had dogs that this took 2-6 weeks to teach!
"Use a box shorter than your dog"
My dog: a dachshund 👁👄👁
Ha
I have a big dog medium and small…. Our miniature pincher is putting things into a small pasta bowl/plate. Very shallow but big

My dog: Bichon frise!😂
There’s toy boxes on Amazon that have a super short front for small dogs :)

Any tips on how to get my dog to even pick up the toy? He just stares at it excitedly and doesn’t pick it up.
i love your videos and your dogs
Ok I'm gonna try this with my dog thanks 🥰😘😘
Love this sooooo much love these dogs soo much!!
after a lot of commands you say “free”, i was just curious how do you teach them that “free” means that they are free?
Thank you!
My dog just lays in the box 😭
i have a cocker spaniel that is 1 year and 5 months old, is it too late to start doing these types of training with him? he doesn’t listen very well

I’m gonna try with my dog , her names bellatrix! But we call her Bella for short
Lol my dog is Ginny

I have a video on how to teach take / hold! Maybe take steps back and work with her on that first !
See my dog can do it with one toy but then when I ask her to do the rest she removes the one she just put in the box what do I do ?
My dog is an old dog alr so it's quite hard to teach my dog this trick, do u have any special tutorials for old dogs?
Gonna try this with my 7 month old great Pyr/GSD! He’s a sweetie, but I’m real tired of stepping on his pig hooves.
Do you have a video for “get it”?

Speak commands are always fun. Just because I have super vocal dogs and they love it. But I also love teaching retrievals !
Are they on tik tok because I tried to find them and I know your username and I’m not seeing the videos
she might be shadow banned
Their tik tok is 'siriuslysalem' if you're still looking
I wish my dog could do this! I've tried for two day and I can't even get him to pick the toy up. He lays down and looks at me like, "you pick it up?

Not me trying to teach our (me and my family’s) puppy to clean up after herself so I don’t have to do it😂
Do you say “clean up” for every toy or say it once and he cleans up all toys!?
Usually just say clean up and he cleans it all up. But it depends. Sometimes he needs extra encouragement
My dog is eight years old is that too late to start these kinds of tricks?
Nope! Just take your time and break it down into steps!
Ok thank you!
