- I guess I'm just frustrated about having to take the same old Tableau certifications and if you add up the costs it definitely feels like hustle on both sides.

This is a really interesting one, Tim. I too let my certs expire and didn't feel the need to go back and renew them again. I might have felt different if the CP exam existed.
That said, I would still really value seeing evidence of certs on candidate CVs.
I respect Alteryx for offering free certification. To me, it's a feedback loop. The more things I learn to do with it, the more likely I am to renew (spend) the next year.
Tableau is discouraging that by making certs fee based.
The irony is that Salesforce the parent company has trailblazer one of the largest free platforms. Hoping this gets addressed in the future
