Hey everyone. Just a quick message. While I know a lot of you enjoy the recreations of O'Donnell and Campbell's legendary work for TTTE. I'd also really appreciate if you'd take a look at music I've written too. I'm looking to experiment and expand as a composer to test my range and ideas, the Thomas stuff is nostalgic and everything but the original works is what I really enjoy to work with. Still on the 80s wave at the moment as there are some sounds I still want to tackle. Here’s a playlist of all the 80s and 90s stuff. I’ve arranged them similar to how they are on SoundCloud. Enjoy! ruclips.net/p/PLMtRClgemu18WeuhMuxWRmeKj3NlT3-FP
As a kid, I barely even knew Montague. He never showed up in any of the episodes that aired. I remember some scenes from music videos and such, that barber scene in particular stood out in my mind. After seeing some of season 2 and beyond, it’s quite amazing how much he shows up! He really was basically a new cast member!
"Duck is very proud to be Great Western, he talks endlessly about it, but he works hard too and makes everything go like clockwork, it was a splendid day."
Thank you so much Ty! I love this theme too! Duck is one of my all-time favorite characters! He's always helpful and hardworking, proud of his Great Western heritage, has a strong moral compass, knows how to stand up for himself, and even willing to put his life at risk to save others like in A Close Shave! Duck deserves more credit than most give him! Your prefect rendition of his theme does him proper justice! It's steady yet jaunty and has notes of determination and sagacity (sorry Oliver!) One day, I hope to meet a GWR Pannier tank engine like Duck one day! For now, let's give a cheer for the OG Great Western Engine Duck and Ty!
Percys basis is great meaning percy and duck are related meaning duck isn’t to great western to lose to percy meaning they are both great western to lose to each other
“There are two ways of doing things, the Great Western way or the wrong way!” Those recreations were sweet Ty! Get more your work! Duck’s Theme sounds sweet and lovely!
Duck has been my favorite character for the longest time. I love his work ethic, his design shows how powerful of a tank engine he is in such a small model, and his theme has always been my favorite to listen to. I even enjoy driving Pannier tank engines in Train Simulator.
1:33 - Duck was tired out. The trucks had been cheeky and troublesome. He wanted a rest in the shed. *Enters the turntable, only to get blockaded by the 3 bigger engines*
Duck was always a favorite of mine as a kid. Such a blended character- hard-working but classy, good sense of humor but dignified, kind of a jerk sometimes but also an idealistic dreamer too. His music fits him so well.
Duck’s theme is one I don’t remember much of but like listening to it again has really grown on me, especially since Waltz music has always just stuck out to me.
This was one of my favorite character theme songs as a kid! It really appeals to the classical music fan in me. The melody reminds me of the first part of "Minuet in G Major" by Bach.
"What's your name?" Asked The Fat Controller "Montague, sir, But I'm usually called Duck! They say it's because I waddle! I don't really, sir, but I like Duck better than Montague!" "Duck it shall be!"
I like how Duck’s tired theme and traveling theme are basically the same, the only difference is the pitch, his traveling theme is just a lower pitch version of his tired theme.
VERY nicely done Ty. Always enjoyed hearing your recreations of Duck's theme as they (along with countless others) are always on point! Also, is it just me, or did I hear a bit of Mario 3 music tossed in right near the end?
There’s a sped up version of this theme, but I can’t remember what it’s called. It plays in the episode “All At Sea” when Duck is taking a man to the hospital after he’s injured, and in “Bowled Out” when he and Stepney have to take the express. (There might be more instances, but those are the two I can think of.) (Edited to include episode names.)
"He seems a simple sort of engine" "We'll have some fun and order him about" (makes Donald Duck noises) WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEZE!!! Smoke billowed everywhere.
1:33 Duck was tired out. The cars had been cheeky and troublesome. He wanted a rest in the shed. But the three engines barred his way. HOOSH! James: Keep out!
I like Duck’s sad theme. It perfectly matches that mood when you’re tired and weary and despite your best efforts things didn’t turn out the way you hoped they would.

Alr!
The last engine who did things the wrong way, rather than the Great Western way, was never seen again.
That face goes perfectly well with this.
1 out of every 8 people that liked oh heck’s comment also liked Ray Venkman’s comment
Why does Diesel keep reappearing?
But he returned in Season 17.
@@josephmarrison4606 I clearly wasn't talking about Duck.
One of the best themes in the show. Totally fits his character.
Cheerful and dependable.
@Ethan Schmid i think its better that he was saved from the reboot
You should make a remix of it
Yeah james, Henry, and Edward were also saved from the reboot
The only thing that pisses me off though is the fact that DIESEL is in the steam team and he isn’t even a steam engine
As a child I cried tears of joy when Duck came home to Tidmouth :')
so did I! the ending of a close shave always gave me goosebumps as a kid.
Me too lol
You have a good heart then. Anyone would cry over some or all of these themes. Classic Thomas had the best music, and stories
Ngl me, too. It’s my first recollection of crying over a show/movie. One of my clearest toddler memories.
He got to come home when everyone realized Diesel only told lies.

@@Aap_Gadhe same nostalgia value I’d say
Same 😅😊
Duck's theme has both a nostaligic feel and that good bop to it, making hard to stop listening to this theme.
This is a vibe, and a bop, great job.
What sells it to me, and possibly what gives it its bop, is the 6/8 time signature, which gives it a very waltz-like feel.
As a kid, I barely even knew Montague. He never showed up in any of the episodes that aired. I remember some scenes from music videos and such, that barber scene in particular stood out in my mind. Ya I don’t really care for Emily and I think duck in my opinion I like duck more
There is just something so relaxing and soothing about Duck's theme.
Yes
Especially his traveling theme

Also, there are engines in this world that - suit their grace or don´t.
What about The Union Pacific Way?

The amazing thing about these recreations is the fact they have a audio distortion that gives them an air of authenticity

I love Duck's theme too, it's so catchy and lyrical! It's probably my 2nd favorite character theme in the show after Donald & Douglas' theme.
Duck is one of my favorite charters and his theme brings all the memories I had in my child hood
Donald & Douglas' theme makes me feel proud 😂 So upbeat
Ah, yes, the theme i'd always get stuck in my head but couldnl never remember who it belonged to. Wonderful work! Still a bop.

You’ve absolutely nailed this as usual, I’ve already listen to it several times!
Spot on as always and I cannot wait for your next one ☺️
You have earned every ounce of weight, steam and respect for including Duck’s Runaway Theme

This is beautiful! I love that you included the small confrontation bit at the end of his traveling theme! Nice job!
I love the 6/8 waltz-like timing to Duck's theme.
Duck has some of the most hilarious moments. He makes me laugh a lot.
I love how the tired theme takes a while to start, almost like it barely has enough energy to keep playing
This song fits Duck so well. It feels like the song is waddling with every fourth beat
you can feel the great western pride coming off this piece
Love the classical music feel it has.
Duck's theme definitely seems like a summertime theme and that's when the real ducks are around!
Duck's Travelling Theme is that one that plays in my head when I'm cycling slowly to the canal on sunny summer day.
