Reminds me of seeing Thomas all the time at the Mid Hants Railway. That, along with the show, is the reason why I know so much about steam engines and still enjoy going to steam railways to this very day!
Reminds me of going to Grandma's old house back when I was a kid and watching her VHS copy of "Best of Thomas" on her giant bulky square TV she keeps in the basement of our house now.
I don't know why but I like listen to Thomas's songs while I do homework, it makes me feel good and happy just like when I was 6 and listen this themes in every episode. I miss those days...
Literally brings me back to my childhood. God I remember as a kid whenever I heard the theme song come on I'd immediately run into the living room and sit in front of the TV.
Okay, this is the one. This is the most accurate spot-on theme recreation that you've done. That synth at 1:42 is literally my favorite part of the theme, just that harmony there is so good. Beautiful work man, I'm loving these.
Thomas and the Trucks was my introduction to the classic series, so it’s always been very sentimental. This jazz version of the theme has been stuck in my head for the last 22 years because it just slaps that hard. Lovely recreation, man!
"Look out for the train" wasn't part of the original UK or US broadcast. It was a mistake by Strand VCI's part when they were editing the episodes together for the original VHS pressing "Thomas Gets Tricked." But that is only on very original pressings from 1990. The copy I had was a later pressing from 1994 so I didn't hear that on mine.
Definitely brings back a ton of Nostalgia, god I remember as a kid whenever I heard the theme song come on I'd rush out to the living room and sit in front of the T.V. The George Carlin version was the best and still is. Especially with Thomas And The Magic Rail Road.
Me: We’re not giving up, Thomas! Don’t worry, we’ll beat Bertie no matter what! We’ll do whatever it takes, it’s now or never! Oh bother, there’s a station ahead. Great and we were going so nicely too! And look up there, Bertie just took off and almost beat us! But wait, there’s a water tower! (After a drink) Now that’s much better, and the signal is green showing the line is clear just now, yay, hurrah we’re off, hurry, hurry, hurry, now we’re finally picking up speed, and look there is Ffarquhar station, we did it! Wow, that was fun, but due to racing at dangerous speeds, we’ve all learned a lesson from Sir Topham Hatt to never race at speeds!
Always had a soft spot for this theme, particularly that second half. The nostalgia and emotion hits a certwin crescendo for me that just can't be explained.
If they ever by a miracle went back to the models, or anything close, SA would be a great successor to the OG composers if they elected not to come back.
In fact i thought it was a voice removal but then i discovered it is a god's only remake that is you! You could very well be a cartoon music composer!!
@@Collin51711 Please Sir, we all know the trucks were being troublesome and they were pushing us down the hill by screaming on on on, it wasn’t Thomas’s fault! Hopefully the trucks will never be troublesome ever again otherwise they will stay in the yards until they can learn to never ever play anymore tricks on engines ever again either!
@@brianfalzon6739 That would be a good ending. The engines get blamed for stuff that happens too much in the show. Why do they need engines to learn how to handle them? Some of them don't have faces, why is Fat Hatt buying ones with faces that will cause accidents? Smh.
YES!!! been waiting on an updated version on one of my favorite themes of all time for a while and i have to say this sounds exactly like the actual theme! I love it, it’s amazing how far your music has come and I can’t wait for more.. keep up the amazing work.
While modern Thomas and his friends lay trapped in a horrible dimension we stand here to celebrate the classic we grew up with. Our old friend is still here and still as solid as ever, we wont let our memories or appreciation for this character ever die. Weather its in the classic Railway series or here in the tv show that still inspires many of us, we keep him and his friends alive through memories Happy 40th old Pal, you're still #1
There is a music track in the game Sonic Forces that plays in the first phase against the egg dragoon boss that sounds like the 1:22 - 1:41 portion of this Thomas music.
i rewatched season 1 and 2 on youtube recently, sadly the third doesn't have the original British narrator. But the series are just as fantastic as I remember as a kid, even without nostalgia goggles, Thomas the Tank Engine was just a brilliantly made kids series that I hope will survive for many more years to come. The music was so essential to it as well, it has the catchiest themes and really well-made too. There's million-dollar blockbuster Marvel movie scores with less effort and artistry.
“we’re stopping we’re stopping!” Said Thomas as he applied the brakes “ no no on on!” Said the trucks Thomas was going at speeds he’s never gone before!
Look out for the train! Yeah that good from the 90’s. I still find you as the most accurate S1-2 music composer in all of the fandom. Even when you started these themes a long time ago, you’ve come a long way with the improvements.
I saw this episode so many times as a kid (my mom would record the shows on VHS and I wore the hell out of those tapes rewatching) that I always hear Thomas' "Beep Beep Beep" at 0:59 in my head as he goes up Gordon's hill.
This Engine may be dead to some but to me he’s still somewhere, waiting to be rescued from Mattels grasp. No more Engines go, no more Wheels as Hands, no more Thomas being A kid. To me he’s just Thomas, he’s is the leader. Happy 40 Years of Thomas the tank Engine 1984-2020
