Turning 60 this month. Peanuts was to me is what Harry Potter is now. Feeling blessed for the simpleness this added to my childhood. Thank you Mr. Shultz from one of the geek kiddos.
I will always love this! Funny thing though, whenever I read in the New Testament of The Bible I hear the voice of Linus quoting "For a Savior has been born which is Christ the Lord. I'm 65 and this one is my favorite Charlie Brown special.
As a kid growing up in 60s and 70s along with my brothers and sisters we look forward to watching the peanuts holiday specials. I still watch them with my great grandkids.😊😊
"Linus & Lucy" is a great piece of film music, perfectly capturing "Peanuts", it's THE musical soul of "Peanuts", and it's simply a great piece of Jazz... .. . It's at the same time cheerful and melancholy, that's no easy feat. Wonderful composition.
I did not have what could be construed as a happy childhood by any standard, but Peanuts, and that song, remind me it wasn't all bad. Hard to believe that was almost 60 years ago. When I lament about "kids today" it's not because I have anything against them, it comes from a place of genuine sorrow. It would suck to be a kid in today's mixed up psycho world where videos are created questioning reality itself. If the adults are that confused, how messed up it must be to be a kid. Go get em Schroder, you still rock! And that bit at the end, Snoopy slinking off, great edit.
No matter how crappy I feel, or how absolutely awful the day, week, month or year may seem to be going, this song... this song always puts a smile on my face within the first few notes! Merry Christmas, Charlie Brown! And to all of you out there in the world, peace, love and happiness all the year long!
Timeless, joyful, ticklish slice of musical delight! It isn't Christmas without the episode on t.v.! Hell, ALL the Peanuts specials. Each character is FULL OF CHARACTER. Their individual dances, connecting to a most memorable upbeat, unique tune. I really need to play this more often and lighten my heart year round. Endearing and it just made my day. For now 😊
dandymcgee I’ve been learning the original version for a little bit, the main melody, or whatever, isn’t too hard. As you get farther in, though, it gets much harder
It was great to be a kid back then. I only wish the world had some of this today for our kids. Thanks ... (and in the day of real instruments with real musicians) ...
Back in the day these were specials that you could only see at a certain time, certain day of the year which made them special. Now you can see anything with a click of a button at any time, so kids will never really experience this like we did.

62 here still makes me smile!
Turning 60 this month. Peanuts was to me is what Harry Potter is now. Feeling blessed for the simpleness this added to my childhood. Thank you Mr. Shultz from one of the geek kiddos.
Orange shirt kid was always my favorite. Love the simple back and forth of his dance.

Love this. A walk down memory lane.
Kid in the orange is killin it, he always did.
👍
There is nothing cuter than watching Snoopy dance to this song!
Especially when he lifts his head up in the air and all you see is his mouth!
So cute!

Praise God this was made.
Who are the 413 blockheads who gave this a thumbs down? I’ll give you five good reasons to change your vote!
lol - nailed it
Lucy? Is that you? 🤣
Those are good reasons!

Great comment, loved it!!
Laura, Vince Guraldi made alot of people happy with his songs 🎵! I have this is CD and love it 😀❤
Is it because you and "orange shirt" kid get to dance in unison?
@@SusanWojcickiDidntEarnHerJob I wish I could dance like that!!
& Merry Christmas to you! 🌲❄⛄
Yeah man x
People of my generation had some of the best Saturday mornings the world has ever known.... :)
The world doesnt even know what saturday mornings mean amymore.
I didn’t get to watch cartoons on Saturday mornings b/c I was at piano lessons!
none of us jumped off a cliff or tried to boil someone in a pot of water either....lol
I love this song, can't help but get up and dance to it. Puts a smile on my face and my inner child comes out. Yippee
For now 😊
If I had EVER learned to play the piano...this is the only song I would have wanted to learn
This song is super hard to play, but it's worth it cus it's such a great song. You should find a piano and learn it, what do you have to lose??
My son plays piano and he rocks this song for Christmas. My 18 year old does the crazy dances lol.
Tim Hood
Schroeder's Beethoven jazz.
Love these guys
dandymcgee I’ve been learning the original version for a little bit, the main melody, or whatever, isn’t too hard.
Yeah, what passes for entertainment in these days is sad by comparison.
Hard rolling my eyes right now. 😂😂
me too, a lot of innocence and it makes me sad that today's kids don't have it. I think we should bring it back.
It sure was we could really be kids
We’re making it into Christmas with this one 🗣️🚨

A true American , animated Christmas classic. Yes absolutely wonderful ❤🎄
I will forever love all of these songs! My mom passed away about 5 years ago and Snoopy and Woodstock were her absolute favorite!
