Again, Steve, a great video full of interest, making one wanting more. I’m really excited to see your next Thames adventure. What a difference that will be from the little yacht.
Once again we get to see a part of the world through your camera. Thank you so much. We live in Pennsylvania and at 75 our travel time is over. As crazy as it sounds, it was the pandemic that started us watching RUclips vlogs and in particular UK NB vlogs. We have remained subscribers ever since.
There are two popular misconceptions which I would like to clear up for our overseas friends. Also many in the UK don't know this either. Canary Warf is actually an area in the docklands that contain many buildings, one of which is titled "One Canada Square" and it is this that has become known as "Canary Warf". Another is Big Ben, which most people will identify as a clock tower. It is in fact the name given to the 13 Ton bell that chimes the hour and is located at the top of Elizabeth Tower at one end of the houses of parliament.
I used to commute to Canary Wharf on the DLR in the early 90s. Day by day I would watch in horror as Limehouse Basin was filled in. I was worried it would be completely built over, but in the end, they built the chichi marina and flats. The area of the basin must have been reduced by at least half.
Inspired by your live channel, we are staying next to the Thames in Benson now. Looking forward to seeing your future vlogs along the Thames, very quiet here at the moment, not seen a single boat go past so far!
@@LifeonboardAmyJo We were told the river is on amber warning for fast flow at the moment too. Did finally spot a cruiser but like you said its out of season.
Brilliant vlog, I find your comments make us understand what we are looking at, such as the description of how the lock works to join the thames
Thanks June. I try and remember not everyone has seen a canal and its workings
Brilliant! You are getting very good at the cliffhanger endings. Cannot wait for next weeks vlog 😃
Thanks Lesley. We want you to come back off course 😂

I mention that in the next vlog 😊
Thanks for this. Glad you made it. Looking forward to next week when you're on the Thames.
It seemed to take forever but we enjoyed every mile 😊
Another very interesting vlog. The pusher tug & barge were not hanging around, Enjoy the Thames & travel safely.
He was rather. He was right behind us so we let him pass as we thought he’d push AmyJo into the barge 😊
The boat with the large pink flamingo was recently featured on the latest segment of “Cruing the Cut.”
“Cruising the Cut”
Thats right we recognised it from our vlog.
Great video
Thank you
GG says woof to Smudge. Love the vlog.
👍

Its sad that the basins could have been preserved. A bigger marina would have really been of benefit now
@@LifeonboardAmyJo Wouldn't it just!

Winter time boats tend to move less now the season has come to an end
