Solid deal for $400 totally unique to brew. Worth the price alone. Colors and subdial placement are unique and fun. Would love to see more chrono variations from brew on the future. Also love when teddy reviews micro brands because he talks brand, founder, and watch.
Teddy, I do like looking at Micro Brands or less known watches. I think every collector prefers Automatics. But, over the years, I have come to enjoy Quartz (mostly Eco-Drive or Solar). My favorite diver is an Eco-Drive and 11 years old. My “weekend beater”. Lately, Micro’s have been finding their way onto my sons, wife’s, and even my wrist. This “Brew” watch is creative and well designed (from and Engineers perspective). I like it. I vote thumbs up on more videos like this…Thanks.
I’ve been wearing a radio-sync Eco-Drive for nearly ten years. No battery changes and the time is within a second of the time on my phone. This Brew watch is attractive and a decent piece of design, but…
I loved my Eco-Drive too, until it stopped working and I found out fixing it is going to cost nearly three times what the watch is worth, and may not even be possible (or practical). I got my money's worth out of it, but still disappointing.
I ordered one of these after watching your previous video in which you compared a few micro brands so really nice to see a follow up looking into this one in more detail. Please keep the micro brand content, some really interesting watches being discovered 👍
The cool thing about Brew is that they take inspiration from vintage watches that didn’t become too popularised. Like this is definitely inspired by the Omega Jedi 176.005 - super cool
Thanks for doing some micros! And meca-quartz. A HUGE population of the watch community find it difficult to break over the $500 - $600 mark. So we run out of quality full autos and mechanicals. Love to see a review done on HEMEL some day!
Proud owner of the Metric - Green Dial variant and it fills that Milgauss void in my life with a reminder of the Tiffany/OP-Colour craze, it's my for fun watch for Fridays and I absolutely love coffee so it was a no-brainer for me. And fun trivia, there's only 200 of that reference/model in the world, so that feels good. If you watch Jonathan, you know the passion, respect & commitment to excellent design; so have to support that.
I just acquired the silver dial and absolutely love it. The case size, heavily tapered bracelet and clasp make for an uber-comfortable wearing experience. I love the design and really enjoy the quirkiness of it. I have watches that many times more expensive that I don't enjoy as much as this. Perfect enthusiast piece.
While I'm not likely to order this particular model, Brew is on my radar. Personally, I think mixing in this type of content is a great thing for the channel. It exposes people to more of what these small businesses are doing out there.
The PRX is a 40mm automatic watch of much, much, much higher quality. The Brew is a 36mm quartz watch that is significantly lower quality. I own both, the prx and brew metric. They are not direct competitors. Their only similarity is the integrated style bracelet. The PRX blows the brew metric out of the water.
Thanks for turning me on to Brew watches! I first started checking them out after your episode where you and Mr wonderful were talking about them. I immediately went on their website and bought the only one I could find, which is the 8-bit. I'd be interested to hear what you think about the 8-bit. It's definitely a strange design and will be hugely polarizing, but it's just so well executed like all of their stuff, and also I guess because it's limited to 500 pieces produced, it just seems like a great buy for 400 bucks. Anyway really loving your channel and I appreciate the fact that you deliver so much great content for those of us who are looking on the lower end of watch prices but are still excited about collectible pieces.
I was finally able to order this watch. I already own a well rounded collection, even have a nice luxury watch, but this is such a cool dial and case for any price, let alone under $500. Had to pick it up!
I was able to get in on last month's order event and grabbed the black dial version. Now I can't wait until May for it to be shipped! And Teddy - I owe it all to you from a mention in another video a few months ago, and then again with Kevin recently. I love the idea of spreading the new about micro brands, and doing the leg work that some of us can't find online...especially how you speak on quality, etc. Thanks!
Although not "my cup of tea", I find it strangely attractive. It is one of those time pieces that you can't stop looking at. I wouldn't call it beautiful. Rather extremely intriguing. Honestly, I can imagine myself wearing it. Once again, great video!
Just got my 8 bit brew watch and I love it. Love the retro arcade style and looking forward to getting one of Brews other offerings once they are back in stock 👍

I love the idea of Brew watches, and love their fun designs. There is definitely a lot of value there too. I'm only unsure of how they will fit. I'm likely going to the Windup Watch Fair in Chicago this summer, and I'm sure they will be there. I look forward to being able to get some on the wrist. Teddy, I am already having a hard time getting this watch on release--you just made it a lot harder releasing this great video, now probably everyone wants it :P.
Finally got this one after quite a wait until I managed to order one within the very short window they are online for purchase. Absolutely in love with it as I think they got so much right while being very original. The quality is quite amazing. Hope I’ll be able to live with it as the seconds dial is very small and my eyesight is not as good anymore.
Great video Teddy, as always! I discovered Brew watches thanks to one of your earlier videos. The reason why I think people love this dial is because it has elements of the 80s while it still presents a very unique, creative and fun design with an overarching theme: coffee! Good content Teddy thanks. Yes, we are interested. I am a huge MecaQuartz fan. I vastly prefer quartz to mechanical movements for their accuracy, low maintenance, low initial cost and grab and go quality. I like this watch. I own a Dan Henry Evil Panda with three dial derivative of this movement and its a keeper. This is a compelling watch for sure and thanks for your presentation..
For those that love the watch, but need more water resistance, you can definitely mod this movement with fluorinert fc-40. Meca quartz will suffer a battery and slight accuracy penalty when oil filled, but it will still work well enough to dive safely.
