    Anybody find it funny that at a Peace Conference between the Palestinians and the Israelis some brilliant mind thought serving shellfish (crab cakes) was a good idea... its debatable amongst Muslims and a big No No for the Jews.

    Keep in mind, this is tv.. Toby tips over due to recoil cuz they need comic relief.
    Camera’s in the press briefing use flashes, so the audience gets the brashness of the briefings.

    I don't understand why the photographer is using flash photography. The "stage" is already lit for TV and photographers.

    • @ahay1983
      @ahay1983 7 месяцев назад +17

      Because they aren’t just pointing the camera at the podium from a set place - they are photographing the whole room, including the journalists and not using the flash will mean images would be unevenly lit

    • @swilson42
      @swilson42 7 месяцев назад +17

      Mostly for effect as a TV a scene. But also, photographers like to control their own scene and lighting. If they didn’t use a flash they’d be at the mercy of other lights and photographers.

    • @seanwebb605
      @seanwebb605 7 месяцев назад +3

      @@swilson42 It's all effect. Photographers do like control. Which is why flash stinks. It just blasts light for a moment. It is ugly and crude. And entirely inappropriate in this setting. In fact other photographers would be annoyed that they set their exposure and some newbie went banging off a flash messing up their own exposure. TV definitely hates it when they have their camera set up (in this case likely a pool feed) and flashes go off messing up the exposure. It's also funny to think of a pool feed in that room as it is built over an actual swimming pool.

    I love the fact that you can't say "Damn" or "god" on most American TV shows, they bleep "shit" and "ass" but british swear words like wanker (wank means masturbate, if you don't know), which are actually harsher most words that get bleeped, are fine.

      Goyim do not know kosher. A Reformed Jew from the state of Georgia wrote in the 1950s thanking his Christian friends for serving pork/ham at lunches, since knowing it wasn’t kosher, they normally gave him Lobster Thermidor, instead. They probably served cheeseburgers as well vs :-) .

      I don’t really get why you say that it’s a pretty simplistic way of handling it but it’s tv politics it will always be simplistic in the end the west wing explained what both moderates and extremes in both parties involved in the conflicted wanted and empathized that if something wasn’t done nothing would get better in the show battler burnt a lot of political capital and time trying to resolve it in real life we didn’t bother we let it fester we let colonization occur and we allowed radical groups to gain to much control with in the Palestine government

      Opening scene of the Christmas episode in season 4 ("Holy Night", when his father makes a surprise appearance at the White House), establishes that he was born shortly before Christmas 1957, so he would have been close to 42 when the series began.
