- This is the second day of orientation at Swift Transportation. So far so good I’ve been hired and after this, I have four weeks of training with my mentor. 
Dez be the one in class that finish his work before everyone else and disturb the rest of the class ❤️

I appreciate that. I had to sit down and plan this out. I’m trying to make sure everyone is happy, including myself. Spending time with my children is definitely important in this equation but I will make it happen.

Congratulations you are definitely a go getter. I myself having been job searching and hopefully I will start working soon. It is plenty money out here for everyone. I'm trying to work, earn money, save, travel and finish college. So that my children can see that all things are possible through Jesus Christ and prayer.
Hey Shay. It’s definitely money out here and it is doable. You just have to do what’s best for you, even if it’s the hard thing. There are goals that I want to accomplish. Some of those goals surround my children and the others are just personal goals for me but both will be done ✔️ Thank you so much for being a positive person on my journey called life. It hasn’t been easy but I got it done anyways.

Sup brother, how many days you were out before you went back home from training? And how many days of training ?
What’s up bro? For me it was pretty quick. My last day of Training was Saturday. I went to my Terminal on Monday to Upgrade and I had my first load on Wednesday

Do they do a DOT physical there in orientation? Or do you need to have an updated one before orientation

i have a felony on my record its bin 7 years since then, my personal driving record is clean and i dont use drugs...will they accept me into there school?
I mean I’m not the one hiring you so I really couldn’t say. The only way you will know is if you apply. Swift is a decent company so go ahead and apply
You Already Had The CDL ? What If I don't have a CDL do they help you get one ?

Did you have to take a physical when you were doing orientation? Or if you have a DOT med card are you good?
Swift scheduled me a drug test and physical before orientation but there was still a handful of people that got it done during orientation

How was road test?
It was cake 🎂 backing up was the hardest thing to do. But overall it was pretty easy
Do u have to pay for their brand luggage or bags
No you don’t have to but there are some good items that you will need for Trucking
How much does the tuition etc cost to become a truck driver?
Hi. So to answer your question. CDL schools vary with price. Swift has there own CDL Academy which around 5K. classes start every Wednesday morning, running from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. five days a week, and take three weeks to complete.
Do they make you take flights?
No flights. Maybe a bus ticket 🎟️
