thanks for watching
it's also nice to have thicker hair :))
@@DrDrayzday does this device have the same NEAR INFARED AND INFARED combination that you recommend for wirnkles and rebuilding collagen for the face? Is there one NEARINFARED AND INFARED device that works for both hair, and face? To avoid buying two devices, can I use this helmet with protective eye goggles and treat my face just by placing the helmet over my face? Would that be effective?
@@sheri4673 yeah just buy the Currentbody LED face mask and use it on your head too. Save your money. Currentbody has infrared too.

You can use a mask on your head with the same results. Cheaper option.

I own one of these and used it at Halloween to tell scary stories to my kids and their friends hahah it was great.
I didn't get the iRestore but I did get another affordable alternative from SkinGenics led helmet. Excited to see my hair grow back since I been losing patches.

I got the helmet from skingenics like 8 months ago and it seems to be working. You must be consistent. @@christalthegr8
How is your experience so far? Also considering to buy it
@@MeHeArtUK took me 8 months I use it almost daily. Also did some micro needling. It works but you gotta use it consistently.
I’ve been using one of these devices for about 20 months and there is a noticeable increase in the amount of hair I have. Lots of thinning prior to using the device and it took about 10 months to notice a difference but I’m happy with the results. Thanks for confirming what is working for me because some folks don’t believe it. ☺️
Glad to hear 👍
Susan Sisk, I think the best way to see the improvement is take photos of your scalp on day one and then a year later.
Susan, I'm curious if you'd share if it's this manufacturer or if it's another, which one?
I’ve been using the Hair Max because I wanted to enter this product line at a moderate price point. I have used it religiously for the recommended three times per week and have been very satisfied. When this one stops working I will look into the helmet type system. Hope this helps.

I purchased the iRestore Pro Helmet back in early April after seeing you use yours, Dr. Dray. I have very minimal hair loss, but am already noticing regrow and that my hair is overall becoming thicker. I’m glad I purchased it. Thank you!
Did you experience any kind of shedding at the beginning? And did you take any of the supplements, vitamins and serums they provided? I am thinking about getting one.
@@shu-lingmatta3379 I did not experience any shedding at the beginning. I did not purchase any other products from iRestore, but I do take other supplements that are good for hair growth. Hey did u have female pattern hairloss? Also did u buy essential or pro?
I've had a receding hairline and balding at my temples. I'm an actress so I was very concerned about being on camera with it. It was still in early stages but noticeable. Not sure if it was due to my PCOS or low ferritin levels or just hereditary. I went to a fancy dermatologist who specialized in hair loss. He did a hair follicle ultrasound which confirmed that the hairs in those areas were indeed weaker and thinner. I caught it early. I didn't want to take oral medication and didn't want to apply minoxidil either. Two years passed and it was getting worse so I bought the irestore pro and used it as directed with only occasional biotin supplements, nothing else. There was an initial shedding phase about a month in, just in those problem areas, but it was very minor for me and passed quickly. Now almost three months in, I definitely see improvement, less scalp, thicker hairs and more fullness. I went back to the derm and his ultrasound confirmed that the hair follicles in those areas were indeed thicker and stronger than before - and he had the old photos to back it up! He claimed that the irestore helmet wouldn't work on someone with hair as thick as mine but I told him the areas of concern are in the front. I'm glad I tried it and didn't listen to him. What am I going to be on Minxodil for the rest of my life??? I tried Nutrafol for a year and other supplements with no results. I did have very low ferritin levels but they aren't that much higher now to be honest. So my conclusion is the irestore worked great and hopefully will continue to. Try it - it definitely worked for me.
An actress..?
@@darwing9980i think they are using their spouses account or a different profile photo because only women can have pcos haha. my first thought as well was actress??
I am a 69 year old male with a receding hairline. 3 years ago I had a hair transplant (in Colombia 75% savings) and was advised by my doctor to buy a laser hat to help it heal and keep me from loosing more hair. I bought this same device and after using it every other day for several months, my maintenance routine is twice a week. I can't tell if I had any new hair growth, however I know I stopped losing hair. The evidence is in my shower drain. It used to be full of hair and now I rarely see any hair in my drain. I recommend this for preserving your hair, but not sure if it grows new hair (probably not). Also, I do not use any other hair treatment but I take good care of myself. Hope this helps and good luck!
I've been using the IRestore helmet for one 1 year and I do see a difference. Individual hair strands are thicker. Right temple has new hair growth and the left temple has thicker hair (but the same number of strands). I am happy with the purchase and I will continue to use it.
are you using the regular one or the professional?
So no growth on the Left side .. just thicker?
@@oppothumbs1 You can buy the professional one for fall. It's $300 off right now. Mine came to like 900. Plus the free stuff they're giving you.
Update?
Does this regrow receding hairline?
I started using this 3 months ago and it works. Less shedding and I see new hair growth. I’m 53 and going through menopause and thought nothing would help my hair loss. Thank you Dr. for your time and research! I really appreciate you!
Intersting. 48, and I'm going through hell with full-on male pattern shedding. Tricologist who I trusted failed to diagnose it, and insinuated it was in my imagination! Well, my hair is about 50% gone at the front now, and I'm freaking out. Dread brushing. Dread washing. Got a high quality red light device, but guessing this is different? How long did your results take?
I bought the iRestore last February. Both my husband and I are using it. I have noticed a little bit of hair regrowth, at the temples. My husband appears to have regrowth on the top of his head. We took pictures. We are still at it! Optimistic. 🇨🇦

Comparing her hair from then to now is pretty easy.
I have a LED light therapy mask. My husband bought it for me in October. I was consistently using it for 30 minutes everyday. I have noticed an improvement in my skin. However, I wasn't expecting it to grow my edges back. I've noticed my edges starting to grow back and get a little thicker. I plan on get one for my head and also my full body. So, just know it takes time and consistency.
I noticed this too. Just put the mask on your scalp for 20 minutes and clean with an alcohol wipe after, that's what I do. The wavelength is the same on both.
I read that there is a difference between led and laser. Laser penetraits skin more deeply.
Diferent technologies for skin than hair. Better check the studies and products
@@aalucyaf-zp5ut That may be true. I'm just telling people what my experience has been. So take what you want from it.

I’m not even lying, you have officially gained my respect with this video. Thank you!
I bought the cheaper iRestore helmet and after a year I do see improvement in less hair loss. I think it helps, especially on top of my center part. My only complaint is the helmet (cheaper version) is uncomfortable. Thanks for the thorough review.
I’d love to hear an update at 8 months!
I had 50 sessions, so more than 3 months of LED laser helmet use. And I'm biased, because I wanted it to work so badly, but I have to say, honestly, no visible improvement. And I'm disappointed.
Thank you Dr Dray for sharing your personal experience on this. Looking back at your old videos, I definitely notice your hair has gotten so much thicker - big difference! I will look into this technology.
When I FIRST saw you doing this I thought: cray-cray. However, I have learned to respect your opinon on skincare. Following your lead, my skin is 100p/c better in a few months of simple Dr Dray Care. I have had thryroid cancer, and the ensuing radio. The hair never really came back.. Im tired of covering up the holes on my crown with painful clip ons. I am considering buying this..first will check with my Dema! Thanks, Dr Dray.
I have so much respect for Dr. Dray she actually tries out the products and backs everything up with data.
Hairmax makes more options in their devices than their laser brush. I own the hairband style which requires much shorter treatment cycles. And while not cheap, they are less than this helmet device. I have had the same results as Dr Dray with hair growth, thickening etc. My hair was thinning due to menopause and my device has made a difference.
👍
T Anon I also have been using the hair band style and am pleased with the results.
I use my led mask on my head. You can move it around and reach all areas. Works great.

I have had the cheaper irestore for 4 months now and im starting to see lots of baby hairs pooping up and a big increase in strength of my hair. Great product and i would definitely recommend it. Ps i first heard about it in one of your videos.
Carmen Laing, When you say you had the cheaper one you mean the one with only 51 or 52 lights I assume. I am trying to find out if the one the doctor used or is using has more lights in it, but she doesn’t really stay in her video how many lights are in it so how do you know hers is not the same one you have?

@@myjourneytotruth Same! I am afraid of this myself as my migraines are debilitating. I wish she had addressed this.
Hi Dr Dray, wanted to share with you that I received the irestore and have been using it for a week. The front pad leaves a bump on my forehead so I called them to see if I could adjust it. They are sending me smaller pads but in the meantime, you can actually remove any of the "bumpers" by sliding them either in the unlock or lock position. It actually fits my head so much better without the front bumper!
How was your hair growth
Yes I bought this because of Dr Dray and have noticed hair thickness in just a few months. But I also started rogaine about the same time so perhaps it's a combination of both.
Started using this device about a month ago and I have been shedding quite a bit. I was feeling down about it this morning but now I know this is normal and expected. Thank you so much Dr. Dray for uploading this video!! Gives me hope that it'll work for me eventually.

I used the skin care products that you recommended and my skin has been really healthy. I experience some baiting thinning on the top of my head. After watching your video I decided to get this helmet, because I trust your opinion. I know it doesn’t work for everyone but good thing that they have 1 year return policy. I hope you can make more videos about hair loss. Thanks!!
Did it work for you?
I was diagnosed with chronic telegen effluvium by a dermatologist a few years ago. I used minoxidil for a while and it worked wonders. My hair was better than it was when I was a teenager -that is how well it worked. I had to quit using it after about a year though, because I developed this weird sensitivity or allergy. I am seriously thinking about trying this even though it may not be indicated for telegen effluvium. I might visit with a dermatologist first, but since they have the money back guarantee after a year, I feel inclined to take a chance. Right now my only solution is to wear my hair short. I can barely wear it past chin length. It would be nice to have long hair or even at least shoulder length hair. I plan to go into it with realistic expectations just like I did for Rogaine. Thanks for the review. ✌️♥️
Viviscal is good as well.
Did you try it? I have te as well

@@kxolsen Not the Pro version. I also think Dr Dray is just out for affiliate commission. Product likely doesn't work as well as she says it does, or it would be in use in the medical field left and right.
@@phototristan I think it works as she said if you have pattern baldness but she also stressed that it will not work for everyone despite your diagnosis. It was something my dermatologist never even mentioned as a possibility. Dr.Dre keeps up with new things, not to say that other Physicians do not , but it may not be as widely recommended due to the cost and if recommended, many may choose not to buy it since hair loss is not a life-threatening situation. Easier for the doctor to just recommend Rogaine which seems to work for some and she says but this device would give it a boost , for some not all. Interesting Lee though I think you shed when you begin Rogaine as well, does anyone know for sure?
The light hits your forehead, haven’t you noticed any increase of hair growth in the temporal area of forehead?
Hi, I have the Essential model, where I do notice my forehead and temporal area to have baby hair growth. I lasered these baby hair with my side hair 3 years ago (no follow-up treatments).
I personally don't mind the baby hair as it creates some volume / lift support for my normal hair. ;) I've had this device for 2+ years and weekly do up to 3 treatments. I wish the Professional model was available in Canada...
I am also on spironolactone (for female hormonal acne) where my dermatologist didn't mention it'll aid in reducing hair loss. The first 3-5 months were horrible because I had to pee all the time like a nervous / anxious dog. xD I wish I had a derm like Dr. Dray to provide a full picture of side effects.
Ya, these follicles won't magically produce full length scalp type hair, they are different hair follicles that likely only produce short/fine "baby" hair/fuzz. So if those are suffering from hair loss issues, it should help, but it won't alter any type (ie, body hair, baby hair, eyebrows, eyelashes) of hair follicle into a scalp full-length hair producing follicle.
Thanks alot for the replies and good luck with hair restoration journey. I’ve been using irrestore professional for 6 months now and I’m experiencing same outcomes as dr dray’s in this video. Less hair shedding and breakage and thicker ponytail
Have noticed a difference! Thanks for your suggestion(s).

Please beware of spiro if you have low blood pressure! Severely messed up my period. I’m talking very painful cramps and heavy periods that aren’t typical and clots. Stopped taking it years ago. Didn’t help my hair and my period is still messed up. I’m not a scientist, and this was just my observation of my experience.

Ironically I had telogen effluvium for 3 years, after using the laser helmet I got all my hairs back! full thick hair density on my crown/upper scalp and front scalp and side scalp. So I would be glad if you talked about so called ''chronic telogen effluvium'' instead of acute telogen effluvium. So yeah, I stopped using the helmet for a year and 1 month and my hair is extremely thick, still perfect. Btw the helmet looks very cute on you :)

Thanks to you I have used this helmet since last December. If it breaks down I will rush to get it fixed or replaced! Their customer service is awesome!
How have your results been? I’ve been using this since July so it’s too soon for me to see a difference.
Andres Family - I hope you get as good result as I do. It took about 3 months for me to start seeing result. I only lost minimal amount now when I wash my hair. My hair loss journey started 5 years ago and treatments didn’t work much. See my review on their website under my initial LD (with pictures). I still use Rogaine but haven’t had PRP since I started using the helmet. Losing hair is emotionally taxing. It is worth a try. Good luck and I’d love to hear how you’re doing in a couple of months.

Thanks for the tip of working with a dermatologist to first get a diagnosis for hair loss. And that can involve blood work and a scalp biopsy to know what is truly going on. Then we should talk with our dermatologist about low-level laser therapy, as that the data is strongest for pattern hair loss.
They are charging 18%restocking fee. It’s not 100% money back
Science and engineering are cool! What a cool device! Happy Tuesday!
This product is made in China... The newer version, Professional, offers more coverage and more LED lights. I don't like that it is made in China but I do like Dr Dray.
Happy Tuesday! I hope we all have a great day
You too!!
Thank You!! Happy Tuesday!! Have a Wonderful Day!!
Thanks enjoy your day 😀
Thank you for this video, Dr Dray. I finally took the plunge and bought one for myself.
Hi! so have you seen results????
How are you today, Dr. Dray? Happy Tuesday :)
Love from Nepal
Doing well! Thanks! Happy Tuesday
It's a 18% restocking fee for returns.
Yes plus if you’re not American you must pay the international shipping therefore I’m doing enough research to hopefully never have to return as it’ll be too expensive
I want to believe you, Dr. Dray, really I do, but I feel that iRestore scammed me. They aggressively marketed one of their devices as having four times as many laser emitters than it really did. Imagine my aggravation when I discovered that only about 1 in 4 of the lights in my device were lasers and the rest were just red lights. So out of about 80ish outputs, only 20 were lasers.
Moral - always read the fine print. I wish I had before the return date expired.
I just bought the iRestore Professional after watching this video. What do you have to loose! They get your money back after a year if it does not work. I called them and they confirmed that. Hopefully it will work!
How have your results been?
I purchased this I restore helmet August 2020 with a nice coupon Dr Dray mentioned that was available. I purchased the shampoo and conditioner. I used the vitamins also. I slowly noticed new short hairs appearing on my forehead hairline and sticking up along my part! I was so excited! Within six months my coworkers were making complimentary things and telling me about their hair loss and how baby fine their hair has become. I don’t know if it was menopause or the COVID stress or what but several women noticed my hair change! I has not colored my hair since I have used the restore helmet and just letting my hair grow, my pony tail has grown thicker and I am VERY happy with the purchase and will continue to use it as I am afraid it will all go away if I stop. I was not spending money going to the hairdresser during COVID so I felt I had saved enough money to pay for the device. I cannot give a stronger recommendation if you can afford it. It helped me a lot.

@@teresabarrett4706 ?
did you buy the $1,000 one or the $600 dollar one?
Thank you Dr Day, I’ve already ordered a few days ago and I’m even more excited after watching this video. It’s going to arrive soon! Thank you for all the important information you shared.🙏🏼
how was it
Wow I can't wait to send this to my dad, such a shame the site gave you the $200 coupon but then they offer $300 off on their site -__-. Dr. Dray, does this affect at all if the person has high blood pressure?
Saw that!! The site should have given Dr Dray at least a 350$ coupon for her customers.
That's a scummy thing for a company to do! It cuts out their promoters - so sleazy
I.M. Hidden agreed! Not cool at all. Almost makes me look for other companies that offer that product. It’s not a very nice thing to do to someone who’s promoting your product. I wouldn’t have searched for that product until I saw this video.
Where’s the before and after
Have a good dayyy!!🥰
You too 💙
Will check with my dermatologist next visit in a couple of months. Interesting
video though. Thank you Dr. Dray
I just experienced telogen effluvium after having had Covid. My hair was literally coming out in handfuls. I also have pattern hair loss that's become significantly worse since my early 50's. (I'm 62 now.) As you can imagine the latest after Covid development was pretty alarming for me. We finally purchased this (after a few years of skepticism from my husband) and I can say that the results have been pretty impressive. The hair loss I was experiencing from Covid stopped within a couple of treatments and my hair is growing much faster than usual. Whether this is just the result of the hair coming back after the telogen effluvium or the device I can't be certain, but I will say that the amount of hair loss that I see when I comb my hair out in the shower is much much less than it was even before the Covid. I have high hopes for this thing and another side advantage is that it makes us look like Speed Racer. We bought ours through Amazon and while it was much more economical, it does not come with the year long guarantee so for some people it might be worth paying the full price so they have the assurance that they'll be able to return it if it doesn't work.
Congrats on seeing results! I’ve lost a LOT of hair to telogen effluvium, so this gives me hope.
I had massive TE post-covid as well - on top of (post-menopausal?) crown thinning/part widening 😬 Just ordered this unit, have high hopes too! Are you still experiencing improvement? Thanks and best wishes?
@@terfalicious Yes, definitely. My hair is coming in thicker and continues to grow pretty rapidly too. After using this for the last few months I think it's not only working on the hair loss from the Covid, the thinning spots along my temples and the all over hair loss is definitely improving. I'm very pleased with the results and really consider it to be a great investment.
@@redhandedlizzie Mine shipped super fast, I've already used it 3 times (every other day) but I want to follow the instructions and not go too fast... so excited! Still haven't told hubby dearest how much it was, but it's not his money anyway, lol!
So glad you are getting good results!
"I am affiliated with iRestore" that is an appreciated disclosure. Visible light cannot sufficiently penetrate hair, and penetrate the epidermis and dermis, to reach the hair follicles. And if light therapy for hair regrowth was possible, I would bask in the glorious full-spectrum natural sunlight and enjoy free regrowth, with plenty of sunscreen mind you.
Greetings Dr. Dray hope u r well n 🖐Hello Every1 n Happy Tuesday😀n what a Wonderful Vlog.... thanks n Really Appreciate your Honest Thoughts n 4 your Update with the IRestore Device.... So Cool👍n Continued Blessings to All💜....
Happy Tuesday Whitney enjoy your day friend 🤗🤗😍
Good info but honestly who trusts the FDA anymore :\
So, I did not know there was a “pro” version of Irestore. I purchased the 600 dollar model on Amazon. I didn’t know they had one for 1200. Is the model I have drastically inferior to the “pro” version??
IRestore DOES NOT honor returns UNLESS purchased via their web site and Amazon. BEWARE. I was told today SO SAD TOO BAD
I will be uploading a buyer beware video with footage. After 3 weeks, and proper storage, mine malfunctioned on August 16 and CAUGHT FIRE. I'm in the middle of dealing with iRestore. Video with all details to come.
Oh my! Can you please link your video here?
Update?
Read the fine print in her video notes. She earns a commission for every device you buy through her link. This is an infomercial seeking to sell you something - you can’t be objective when you make money selling a product.
How long is the iRestore expected to last before having to repurchase another one? Does it have a warranty, if so how long is it?
This is the problem I have with my Hair Max and all the other devices. They are loaded with a finite number of treatments but the customer does not know what that number is.
My capullis was more expensive, only supposed to be used twice a week and broke after the year warranty was over.
I’ve seen many people say about three years.
I've asked one of iRestore chat agents the same question and she told me it has a shelf life of 5 years with the recommended usage. You can aske them yourself to make sure.
BUYER BEWARE!!! THE RETURN POLICY IS MISLEADING.... they will take off 18% of your total. So it's a partial refund not a full back money guarantee! I just found this out after returning mine after a year of no visible results.
It's not misleading. Clearly stated!!!
Are the results permanent? Or is this something I'd have to use for the rest of my life? I'm very happy that you endorse this product! I've come to find a lot of value in all of your videos!
I've used one for years, works really well in combination with Regain.
With max strength minoxidil for men
I purchased this about three months ago I'm hoping it'll help me so far I haven't seen anything but hopefully over time I'll see some changes
Update? Very curious to see how it goes
Dr. Dray, thank you for this review! You’re a beautiful person for doing this. You’re a beautiful woman inside and out! I am so glad I subscribe to your channel because your information is so helpful! Blessings and Shalom!
Dr. Dray.....I am female and my Dr. prescribes Finasteride 5mg for my hair loss
together with Spironolactone 50mg. Is Finasteride recommended for women?
Also, is this device safe for the eyes? It seems the light hits all the way down to
your eyes and brows. Thank you for doing this video for us.
Those of us that are losing our hair, mine is due to age, truly appreciate your help
and expertise. I did purchase the iRestore a couple of weeks ago, but I have been
fearful. After this video I feel more encouraged. Again.......thanks.
Dray: You mentioned the imprint left on your forehead being something you don't like.
You can easily fix this: they grey tab causing the imprint is smartly designed to pop out to accommodate various head sizes.
Pull it out and try again.
I have a huge head... I must remove all 3 grey cushions!
This is spooky I just watched your entire male pattern baldness catalog and I was looking at this exact device and then you upload this video 😳😳😳
👻
This video was made for you!
Good Morning Dr Dray! Thanks again for another video. It's always a pleasure hearing from you. Cheers :)
I did transplant a while back and it did not stop hair loss. I resorted to minoxidil daily and purchased this almost a year ago and have noticed less shedding. It did slightly help with thickness but I’m still not confident with my hair. I will continue since I did pay so much for this
Any updates? I'm thinking of buying both as well. Would love to know how your journey has been going
I love their shampoo and conditioner. It makes my hair feel so nice and it really makes my hair appear thicker.
Dr. Dray--there are 2 devices, the Professional and the Essential (cheaper). Which do you recommend for balding at my crown? Thanks so much for this great video.
From my research on that question the professional one has like 282 laser LED instead of 51 or something… so based on their website I’d suggest buy the pro if you can (I’m personally trying to figure this out myself )
I've only been using it a month and a half and I am so thankful because I think my hair already stopped falling out! I have tiny peach fuzz sprouts on my hair line too!! If this truly is related to the helmet then I think these wouldn't necessarily be typical results.
I really want to TRY it but IT'S SOO EXPENSIVE :(
It is expensive but less expensive than hair transplants 😊 I guess it depends how important hair is to you
It's an investment ...
And after 12 months if not happy with results you can get a refund 👍
Mary Preston There is a company called Hairmax that also sells the same type of devices in a variety of designs (beyond the comb). I have one of their hair band styles and it's given me the same results as Dr Dray's but it's about $500 less. You may want to check out the company's website. If you want a review check out Angie on her Hot and Flashy channel.
@@tanon2703 thanks
I've been using this device in conjunction with minoxidil for thinning at the temples and overall hair thinning at the top of the head and crown. My hair strands were getting finer and so much was coming out during shampooing and when brushing. I can say now I never see hair shedding during shampooing, it seems that my hair is thicker and my beautician says she sees a positive change in my hair thickness. It's easy to do and easy to continue doing to maintain.
Did you experience initial shedding for a month when you started this device
@@akanksharathodsorry for the late reply, I did not notice any shedding but I was losing hair already so I may not have noticed anything
Thank you Dr.Dray have a lovely blessed day
You too!
I was JUST thinking of this product and if I should get it! Such perfect timing ;)
if you end up trying it, let me know how it works out
They have a great deal on Black Friday. I yhink the expensive ones like 7-800.
Thanks for the tip! 🙂
Ryleigh I just did a chat with an iRestore representative, she said she knows nothing about a Black Friday promotion? What is your source on the huge savings on Black Friday? Thanks
Thanks for this message. I think I will wait for the Black Friday savings :) this is quite pricey
@@Jane_Snow_ It was last year anyway, I assume it'll be this year as well. but could not be. I bought the basic a few weeks before black friday and regretted it when I saw the sale and tried to upgrade, but they wouldn't do it. They'll only give you all your money back after a full year without paying something like an 18% restocking fee, and you have 30 something days to return it from there. Thus I'm going to return it in that window, use a different card to buy it too since they only have one guarantee per customer and hope that sale is back on BF to purchase the pro. The return policy is way more complicated than what dray makes it to be.
Last year the black Friday price was $400 off so $850. That's the best deal of the year.
FYI the SkinGenics LED hair growth helmet is way more affordable than the iRestore… just saying
