So beautifully presented by the BBC. The close-ups are particularly special.

I don’t watch much on the BBC except the Festival of Remembrance on the evening before the service at the Cenotaph, the service itself and one other TV drama when it’s on because I believe the BBC is a corrupt organisation that should have been closed down years ago. However, it is moments like this, the service at theCenotaph, things like the Coronation, royal funerals etc, the BBC does well. It’s just a pity they can’t get the rest of it right. On Sunday morning it was good to hear David Dimbleby in commentary, especially since he’s officially retired.

I watch with my dad every evening before attending Remembrance Sunday service the next morning along Woody.EXE and my other family members. This Remembrance Sunday hit me hard because I was ill 9 months before and everyone in Wales didn’t think I’d make it home but I recovered in hospital for 4 weeks receiving tpn treatment for my illness and I was very traumatised during that service. I remember Woody.EXE asking me if I’m willing to lay the united 93 40 poppy wreath so he walked down to the cenotaph with me so we could lay it together with the crowds crying their eyes out; I cried on live stream and everyone literally spotted it. Hopefully the 2024 Remembrance Sunday will be less traumatising

It was but it didn’t stop me and my dad from going down there. We had a lovely time despite me being traumatised from being ill
