Absolutely! James's ability to transition from one emotion to the next in the span of a single scene is incomparable. He's amazing, and watching him work is a privilege.

he is one of the most talented actors I’ve ever seen
I love this . In one of his interviews he once said, "I wasn't drawn to being an actor because of some deep underlying thought. I just thought it seemed like a fun way to make a living." Although you can obviously tell that he IS so intelligent, and DOES have extremely deep thoughts. I love that he just throws himself into whatever role he is playing. He has always been underrated by critics I think, which doesn't seem to phase him one way or the other, which is also pretty kickass.
Thank you very much! I love that James invests so much thought and energy into every project he takes on. It's the work rather than the accolades and limelight that go hand-in-hand with the industry he values more. I love that quality. :)

ive seen a few of his movies when he was young, i dont really remember a lot, need to re watch. but Red is considerably memorable and my favorite spader role.
I love that James prefers the antihero/grey characters to play. I feel the same way, those characters are often the most interesting and complex. Take the Blacklist for example. I don’t like Ressler as much as the others because he is too good. Red is complex, interesting and captivating to watch because you don’t know what he will say or do next. Red seriously reminds me of Garak from Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. Both have criminal backgrounds they use for good, but won’t hesitate when someone has to die for the greater good.

his eyes change colour in every clip...and he certainly was attractive when he was younger...but he still has it... : )
when i first met my husband, i instantly had a crush on him because not only was he super cool, but he looks very similar to spader, who has always been my biggest celebrity crush. they look the exact same with certain facial expressions. when getting to know eachother, the blacklist was the first tv show we bonded over, which i thought was a funny coincidence. i told him i thought they looked the same. later down the road after we got together, he got me a christmas gift. a tshirt with spaders face on it, with the EXACT facial expression my husband makes, and it said "you should stop talking" which was extra funny because at work i always talked so much i would always say "why doesnt anyone twll me to shut the fuck up omg someone make me stop talking"

I've been a fan of his work for a long time, and it's nice that he's receiving the recognition his talents have always warranted. To say I was disappointed with the Academy snubbing him for the second consecutive year is just the beginning; the word I have in mind isn't appropriate to type (LOL). Back to the original point, James is an incredible artist, and I look forward to any project he chooses to participate in.

Another great video, Monique. James Spader is a great act, and he has had some really good roles, both in movies and on TV. I enjoy watching him portray complex, even dark characters. You included lots of my favorite scenes, in just the right order. I especially liked the part where he said "Nobody slaps me twice". And the song fit the video so well. Keep up the great work.

What I'd love to make is a video illustrating his character Morgan Hiller from "Tuff Turf". The film is very different as far as tone, and more importantly I think it would be fun to tackle.

And yes, I revisited "Dream Lover" the other day, and that was quite the film. James and Madchen's work was first-class as usual. I wish the studio would finally release the full cut of the film on DVD. For now, it's only available on Laserdisc and VHS I believe.
