- Here's an unboxing of my ESP LTD Deluxe M-1000HT Black Fade, there's practically zero videos showing it so here you go! I've got a full cover that I'll be uploading soon so subscribe so you don't miss it.
Had this setup with 11-56 for Drop-C tuning and the tuning stability is excellent.
Absolutely stunning guitar, originally released as part of ESP guitar's 2020 collection with a burled poplar top in black fade, alder body, satin maple neck, neck-thru construction, hipshot bridge, LTD locking tuners, reverse headstock, direct-mounted active Fishman Fluence Modern pickups - Alnico neck, Ceramic bridge with push/pull for second voicings.

I know that feeling! Ah thanks man I love it! So you got the 7 string E-II? :O Highly jealous! I was contemplating getting one of those in the future but I've never played a 7 string so not sure how I'd like it! The purple natural fade is one of the nicest colours I've seen!

Thank you! The fretwork and level are excellent, the guys at Absolute Music did a set up for me in Drop-C and the action is super low without any buzzing at all. Seriously impressed!
Been looking for some vids on this as i ordered one a week ago from Andertons. Its a little delayed but hopefully ill get it next week maybe. Looks absolutely amazing!
I was the exact same! I ordered mine a week ago and couldn't find any videos, it came last Thursday so I made this video but only just had a chance to upload it. I was going to order from Andertons but they didn't have any stock and I'm super impatient, Absolute music had 1 in stock so I snapped it up. You won't be dissapointed, it's even more stunning in person and plays like an absolute beast! My first time using Fishman pickups too and I'm loving them. @@AugmentedAndy Fishmans are awesome. Had them in 3 of my guitars. A solar, schecter and a gibson explorer i equipped with them. Absolutely amazing. Been missing the. Wich is why i landed on this guitar this time. Andertons shipped my guitar today actually. Intr to see how covid affects shipping time. So looking forward to play it. I dont have any equipment to post videos that are good enough😬 But have been thinking about getting it though 🤔
@@abrathe297 how was the solar guitar? I've always liked the look of them! I'm loving the fishmans so far, sounding great. Ah that's fair enough, can get expensive getting gear to post videos, I'm lucky to have the stuff as I do videos for my work but I'm going to start posting covers here just for fun and to get back into playing more. Glad your guitar has shipped, sure it'll come quickly! Would love to see the finish of yours since they're all different. You'll love it for sure.
@@AugmentedAndy Im on my third Solar now with the GC1.6 KILLERTONE, and its fantastic. Coolest guitar ive had to my taste, and its sounds brutal with its black winter pickups. Had the ATG baritone and A1.6D LTD- aged natural matte / distressed. Allthough it was way better build quality on my first solar than my last. Complaints about QC have increased in recent times i can see. Overall im very happy with all of them though. Minor issues. Yeah maybe I`ll post an unboxing with my phone or something so you can see how it looks😬
@@abrathe297 ah man I'm jealous, they sound great! I've never played a barritone but always wanted one. Shame the QC seems to have dipped a bit, I saw similar things in online posts but didn't know how true it was. I'd still be up for getting one some day! Yeah let me know!

I'm looking at the 7 string version of this to replace my Sterling Majesty i just got. The majesty had a defect in the bridge and I decided to go with a hardtail instead.

Love the look of this thing. The fade with the natural wood underneath looks killer. So aside from metal, how do you think these Fishman pickups work for 70's/80's rock/classic rock? Decent versatility?
Beautiful isn't it! The Fishman pickups are super versatile, especially as they have the push pull to enable/disable voice 1 and voice 2. Voice 1 is the active pickup sound and voice 2 is a passive voicing and it's really good. I'd say they'd be great for rock/classic rock with the 2nd voicing and they'd kill for hard rock too! I'll do a review at some point and go over different sounds but I do have the guitar in Drop C so might not be the best representation of classic rock 😂
I just got one of these and honestly it just depends on the amp. It plays great, maybe not as great at bending as a fender, but it still does the job.

Just curious as I see you have both an EII version and this LTD version. I’m on the fence about the EII Blackburst. It’s beautiful however I’m more of a shredder not so much a chugger. I can’t really find any examples of an EII MII playing leads, bends and staccato, legato playing. I’d love your thoughts on the EII MII for lead playing. I get the feeling it isn’t really used for such things. I play a Charvel American as well as a Jim Root Tele.
Sorry for the delay, it's great for lead stuff, nice and flat radius and super fast neck with easy access. I also have a Charvel and the LTD's neck is a bit slimmer, not as wide.

If you're gonna rock LTD, it's mandatory that the headstock is reverse. Peak LTD. Do you know if yours has the stainless frets? Or is that something they only started for this year?

Think I've listed in the description, I played through Positive Grid's BIAS FX plugin on my PC via an interface
I'm going in this week to put a deposit down on one of those, they are out of stock till January 2024 so the owner of my local long and mcquade told me to come in and reserve the first one with a deposit instead of "buying" online and having to do the finance option with a trade in my EC1000 vintage matte so I can avoid any interest. And I can keep my EC1000 till it comes into the store.
Kinda disappointed a 2 thousand dollar guitar (at least it is here) doesn't come with a case.
As much as I love the EC1000 and how it looks and plays I just can't stand the tune-o-matic style bridges. I find it super awkward for trying to tremolo pick and jumping between strings when alternate picking. Probably just me but thats the only issue I have with it. Now I just need a nice half stack and I'm set lol no more fender mustang for me
I think I prefer the looks of this one over the e 2 version.. the inlays are nicer, the black nut and fish mans look better too and those extra thin necks are supposed to be amazing to play.

Couldn't agree more, at £1200+ I'd have liked to see a hardcase! Eventually I'll buy one for it but the official ESP hard cases are around £150 😭

I play C tuning so it would be drop A#. Can you have them set it up like that when ordering?
If you order from a well respected store then either go in or call them up and they'll do a setup for you. I always call if I can't travel there myself and most places are cool to do it
Because I am not familiar with these pickups do they need a battery to operate??
Good question! The Fishman Modern Alnico/Ceramic pickups in this guitar are active so do they require a battery :)

@@nodasz9096 I'd definitely recommend it! Absolutely love this guitar and the build quality and finish is fantastic! Not entirely sure how long the battery lasts but it only drains the battery when in use, I think they claim something like 60 hours play time?

How is the neck profile, it says extra thin U on the website
That's correct, it is the Extra Thin U and I absolutely love it, shame I don't have my 2009 LTD still as that had a Thin U but I really enjoy this neck profile!
I've been playing Jackson Pro series guitars almost exclusively since 1996. I've grown quite accustomed to their 12"-16" compound radius fretboards. I can indeed feel the difference playing this LTD thin U-neck but it hasn't been a negative experience. In fact I've been enjoying the variety it's offering. Very fast and comfortable. I love them both.
Sadly not all of them have that hard black finish in the botoom some of them look way different than this :( the store near me has one and it looks nothing like this one...wish it looked like this and I would insta buy.

Yesss the fade is what I loved, I wasn't as lucky as others I've seen as some are properly faded black so you see the burl more whereas mine is solid black to burl but it's fine, I still love the look of it!

ESP LTD M-1000HT official forum has a post asking about the country of origin and they said this guitar is currently being produced in both Korea and Indonesia, so I guess it's sort of a crap shoot if you prefer one over the other when buying new.

I didn't know they did a lefty version! If they do then keep hunting for it or call a few suppliers to see if they can order one in for you, it's definitely worth it. Loving this guitar!

@@justokotoeh The Extra Thin U is exactly what you need! I have pretty small hands myself too and this neck profile literally couldn't get any better for me... So much so I've just sold my PRS Custom 24 with a regular neck profile to buy another ESP..... No doubt do another video when that arrives haha!!
Mine came with some rust on strings and a dirty fretboard....Why the fuck would this be the case when bought brand new in a store?
