This car is fabulous. The interior with R/T emblem on door and dash is sweet. Great job on this beautiful painted ride👍 thanks for the vid Lou🤘
Hi Joe W, Glad to read you enjoy this "fabulous" car :-) Happy to read all the details you enjoy. You're welcome, Lou
Love the car Lou. One thing I noticed was it appears that this gentleman retained the factory Bendix front disc brakes which is a rare opption for a 68 B-Body. They were a four piston caliper. That shows me he has a high level of detail. Those brakes can be kind of tuff to find parts for and very expensive especially when compared with an after market kit or a factory drum brake. I went the same route as him with my Roadrunner and questioned my decision many times but after seeing them behind that Magnun 500 wheel I know I made the right call. Keep up the great work Lou.
Hi Shady Jake, Glad you "love the car" :-) Thank you for viewing, sharing your knowledge, and adding to the story, Lou

Love the look of a Hemi, and even quiet they still sound good to me. Looking at it here, ud never know this car was in such a mess, wow! Cool striping on the back too! Great video, a lot going on in this one. Really well done! Thank you!

Another great Mopar Lou! Thanks.
Hi 1969 Plymouth Road Runner, Hard to walk past a Hemi :-) Lou
Absolute gem, beautiful color, interior, options, hemi, wheels, nice badging,.... Lovely. Automatic is acceptable if it's on the floor. No muscle car should ever have a column shifter....
High praise :-) Glad you enjoy the details of this car.
Nice color combo & a Hemi, too! Thanks for showing us this one, Lou!
Hi TheGunfighter45scp, Saw this one and it stopped me in my tracks. Glad you enjoyed this one :-) Lou
Sweet! Makes me miss my 69 Roadrunner 383, it had the full vinyl top, bucket seats, console, and Torque flite automatic. Had some fun with it at the Dragstrip several times!

My high school car was my Dad's 68' Coronet 4 door. I swapped out the 318 for a 413 from a 65' New Yorker. Very quick, beat a 74' Trans Am in a street light drag race. He was quit ticked off.
Hi ptremulis, Happy to read this car brings back memories of your Dads car :-) Thank you for viewing and sharing, Lou
My first car as a kid in '71 was a '68 Coronet 500 in medium green metallic. 2-Door pillarless coupe. Had chrome accents on the two rear fender scallops and chrome lined tail lights actually fancier than the R/T. A 318 that would bury the needle. All options - fender top turn signals-lighting package inside blah blah. Looking for one recently I found it impossible to find one - lots of RTs and sedans but I think my 500 was almost more rare than the Hemi. There were at least 3 B Body Hemis and 2 E-Body Hemis in my ol' town of Mystic CT back in early 70s. Good ol' days. Another great ride, Lou !!!!!!

I found a 68 500 in a field recently with all the beautiful trim. It also had white interior with power windows.
I like this grill version
:-)
She’s got grandpa ears! How cute 😊
.....and maybe one day Grandpa's car :-)
You always find the jewels Lou.
Hi Ken InHB, Happy to read you enjoy the selection of car I share on this Channel :-) Lou
That motor is knocking. Wonder what's up with that.
Not sure. We'll have to look into that.
I agree. That motor is knocking. Someone commented it already had solid lifters. Solid lifters don’t sound like that. He said they switched in 1970. I believe Chrysler 426 street hemis went to hydraulic lifters in 1968 motors, not 1970. Regardless, beautiful RT, but that motor don’t sound right to me
Hey Lou, beautiful car, great review thank you for helping me pass the time here in my self quarantine. Hemi started up probably with a quarter turn of the starter, I have heard some older hemis start rough while others start instantly. Now that's personality... LOL.
Hey Andy, Happy to read you enjoy the looks of this car :-) Glad to read the videos are helping pass time as we wait to get our country back working, Lou
This is really one of the best cars. I personally think that the looks were suitable for that model. Thanks LOU for sharing this video. I enjoyed watching it. Please have a great week.
Hi HIsham Elfiki, Glad you think this is one of the best cars :-) Hope you have a great week too. You're welcome, Lou
Nice. But motor sounds like crap!
Agree. Needs a massive cam and solid lifters
:-(
Man what a killer mopar wow!!

The best year of Coronet, in my eyes. Getting old with such a beauty side by side...Gorgeous car.

@@loucostabile Hi, Lou. Wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year through this old vid that somehow I skipped. I think I've already watched some from you (a Corvair and a notchbak Barracuda I think) and now I've subscribed. Regardless of they are Hemi, Ford or GM etc., I love 60s muscle cars, especially when they come out with a story mostly telling a great passion in the background. And I've got to mention that, your English sounds crystal clear to me even with my high-school English. Have checked your channel and I'll be watching all those beauties that were a "scarce commodity" in my country, (tu-doors were rare for it was considered selling them is more diffucult !!!) Cheers from Istanbul.
Which paint code is that ? Come on Mopar gurus
Medium Dark Turquoise - Paint Code L - Dulux Code E-1963D
@@loucostabile Thanks Lou ! 👍
It's soooo clean... love the color combination 👍👍
Hi Andy, Happy to read you enjoy the colors on this car :-) Me too, Lou
any mustangs seen?
Hi Wold Pack, Did not see any at the Chrysler & Hust/Olds Nationals. If / when I go to the Ford Nationals, we'll have some more Mustangs for sure, Lou
No Mustangs to be found, this HEMI eats them for breakfast.
