  • Dave Cam’s Zero to Hero series hits the two-thirds mark this week, as does 2023 iRacing Season 2. Through the first seven weeks of the season, Dave has done a ton of various road races. This week, it is even more road racing, that in which Dave will start as far back as he can for the fun of it all.
After scouting out the various official races in each series for the week, Dave decided upon a wild one-on one hand, the car choice is an obvious winner with the GT4 class, but on the other hand, the track they’ll be competing on is the Nürburgring combined of all places, in the GT4 Falken Tyre Challenge fixed setup series.
This combined circuit, which includes the Nordschleife and the Grand Prix Circuit, is 16.123-miles, or rather 25.95-kilometers in length with so many twists and turns. Dave knows that while the racing can be good, the first thing to keep in mind is that it is a long course and surviving is key.
Starting from the seventh spot, which is pretty far up the grid considering 24 drivers have entered into this top split race, this three-lap race will feel much longer in these lesser-powered machines. Dave is going to take on the challenge in the Porsche 718 Cayman GT4, which is not the best option given the BoP, but it should prove to be a fun one nonetheless.
Is Dave poised for a solid showing today? Tune in to find out! As always, be sure to check out the rest of Dave’s content here on the Traxion.GG website and Traxion.GG RUclips page. There’s also tons of content regarding other racing games and equipment on the channel as well that we hope you all enjoy.

Good stuff. You really pulled one out there. I should've been racing but instead I'm watching this! Thanks for the content.

Avoiding contact there when those two took each other out... very very good.

iRacing have obviously decided Dave is just too good, so they've ensured he always has a bit of damage
to contend with. Luckily for us it probably ensured a great race, even after that amazing Houdini moment!

trying to overtake at flugplatz... well, what can go wrong 🤣
anyway so far it was WTCRs that I've had most fun racing around nordscheife

In an un-damaged car, I can manage a 9.11, with a 9.06 as my optimum.
I’m actually pretty happy with that, it’ll be a good measuring stick to see if I’ve improved next time this combo comes around. (Fixed setup, BMW)

You also ran over the rear spoiler
Which would have damaged your tyres

I was so excited to race the GT4s this week but ended up moving house and my sim rig is in pieces with no Ethernet set up yet, feels bad :(

@@dannyfer8786 not when he is unsafe. There are good guys with controller out there. But you shouldn't go to iRacing when you driving like drunk

Fair point, but I’ve seen equally idiotic drivers on wheels as a newer bottom split driver

Guys how to turn on telemetry graphics?

I always wondered why everyone runs their virtual mirror in the "Objects in Mirror are Closer Than They Appear" mode?! LOL I adjusted my FOV of my Virtual Mirror to 45 degrees, and it looks like the cars are at the actual distance from me that they really are. Is there a reason for leaving it like the? Is it less distracting? It always scared the crap out of me like that! Like someone was going to dive-bomb me every corner!! Just curious if there's a reason, or you never thought to adjust it?

I adjust mine to 60 degrees which looks pretty realistic to me 😁

Suelio Almeida sets his to 140° just so he can see the back of somebody when they are next to him, says it helps him have better awareness and no need for the spotter. Since it can rob you of some time before he says "clear" to plan your line. He even explains it in one of his videos. Dont know which off the top of my head.

@@Django45 yes I've seen that video. I'd rather have realism than some goofy looking cars in the mirror 😁
