@Highwayvillian. No. Our Roads in Northern VA are fantastic. But usually choked with DC commuters. The Fairfax Country Parkway, (286) where these boys stopped, is only 20 years old. But there are stoplights, and corners that are fun at 120 (yup my 2018 Camaro SS 6mt is great on the parkway) but a 4200lb 4 door Charger isn't a master of cornering and if a light changes you CANT STOP in time at 175 mph. No way. It's not an interstate. But it could be driven safely at 120. There is no way that car would have made it much further. 286 has so much access at lights that the Fairfax Co.Police would have used spike strips and those boys would have wrecked out dead. Bad advice to ADVISE people to do 175mph and say "fuck it". Bad idea to speed on i66. Heavily patrolled. If you want to play, do it on 495 towards DC over the Wilson Bridge. There are races all day long and all night long. It runs through small strips of 3 counties and on into MD. So VA cops will stop and just call MD State Police (who will mostly give up rather than chase and endanger innocent people). Going from VA to DC/MD is like going from one planet to another.
