Air1 Locates Suspects After They Fled from Stolen Vehicle

Three suspects were arrested after trying to flee from police in a stolen pick-up truck Saturday in Oshawa.
On Sunday, September 16, 2018, at approximately 2:30 a.m., an officer spotted a pick-up truck travelling without any lights near Harmony Road and Olive Street in Oshawa. As the officer attempted to conduct a traffic stop, the vehicle failed to stop and did a U-turn then drove off at a high rate of speed onto the westbound lanes of the Highway 401. The suspect vehicle then exited on Thickson Road were it travelled southbound in the northbound lanes at a high rate of speed and even hits a curb. Air1 assisted with following this vehicle and they advised that the stolen vehicle stopped on Connery Crescent in Oshawa. Three suspects were observed running from the stolen vehicle. Air1 was instrumental in directing officers to a wooded area where one suspect was located hiding in a dense brush area. Subsequent investigation resulted in the other two suspects being arrested. Police located a quantity of drugs and an imitation handgun.
