      Awesome. I have a Vitpilen 401 also, which is mechanically a KTM 390. You will enjoy a KTM 390 if you decide to go that route. Thank you so much for watching and for the compliment.

    I appreciate the honest thoughts on why you chose the parts you have. People often ignore the details on a quality part...clearly you dont.

      Thank you for the positive comment. I try to just report what I see with a little bit of opinion and let the viewer decide what’s best for them. I can only speak to my thought process as A way, not THE way.
      Ducati parts are expensive, the whole point of these videos is to provide as much information as I can to help all of you make the best decision for yourself. I very much appreciate you viewing. Thank you!

    Very clean. I like the same type of OEM look. Doing the same on my Speed Triple 1200. I use a lot of Evotech stuff for the same reasons you said.

      Mannn that speed triple 1200 is a sweet bike. Love the distinct look of those. Triumphs always stick out in a crowd.

    Gorgeous bike! Wish I could ride. Is heat an issue?

    • @ridewithKY
      @ridewithKY  7 месяцев назад

      Thank you so much! Panigale’s do get very hot. In summer time these bikes are uncomfortable for sure. The heat does get better after an exhaust and tune, but it’s certainly still an issue. Your bottom side gets cooked!

    WOW do u shudder at the final cost? Those front blinkers so clean. W/screen & sliders look ok. U can't have EVERYTHING perfect. Any idea of rwhp?

      Looking back it is a lot of money, atleast for me. However, I don’t regret it. I’m totally happy with how it came out and I really enjoy this bike everytime I ride it. I get the current Panigale body, but don’t have the wideness that the V4’s have. As far as super sports go, there’s no other bike I would rather have instead at this point. WHP probably around 150 or so now, at least that’s what BrenTune reports. Could probably squeeze a little more out of it by going to a sprint filter, but the power level is plenty at this point for street riding. Has plenty of power down low which most super sports don’t, but really comes alive at around 7K. Thanks so much for watching and commenting.

    Nice look. I have a 21 Uk version. Lovely thing. How easy was it to fit the replacement indicators? Cheers AP

    • @ridewithKY
      @ridewithKY  10 месяцев назад

      Awesome. These bikes are fantastic, absolutely love mine. The indicators are not bad. It’s like everything else on these bikes, it’s not really hard but you do have to be careful you don’t pinch any wires, drop fasteners, etc. Working on these bikes is not something that can be rushed through.

    you got a v2 as a new rider! wow you are braver than me 😆

    • @ridewithKY
      @ridewithKY  Год назад

      Haha, everybody is different. I believe you can start on whatever bike you want to as long as you are responsible. The faster bikes have better suspension, brakes, and rider aids than the smaller bikes. It’s your choice if you want to utilize the engine to its potential. No matter how much power the bike has, it’ll only go as fast as you tell it to.

    • @Noony79
      @Noony79 Год назад

      Came to the comments for this one. No one can resist twisting the throttle to see what their bike can do. 155hp and a heap of torque can get you in a lot of trouble very quickly. I think Australia has it right, as a new rider the bike must be under 660cc and must have power to weight of no more than 200hp per ton. Thats the first three years of riding then you can get something bigger.

    • @ridewithKY
      @ridewithKY  Год назад +5

      Maybe you can’t resist twisting the throttle, but that’s not everyone and you can’t possibly speak on behalf of everyone when it comes to being responsible. The bike will only go as fast as you tell it to, period. 155 hp can get you into trouble, but so can 44 hp.
      Also, I’m not sure if Australia is a good example when referring to government restrictions. You have your opinion and open discussion is great, but I don’t think it’s appropriate to speak for everyone when it comes to not refraining from twisting the throttle. Cheers.

    • @Noony79
      @Noony79 Год назад

      @@ridewithKY Then why didn't you get a 44hp bike rather than a liter if your not going to use it?
      You can't be that vain that you have to have a bike without a fule gauge just to show off.
      Plenty of bikes with similar drivers aids, ABS, traction control etc for less than half the price and would be a much better platform to learn how to ride.
      In fact having ridden both I would say a Busa is more forgiving and easier to ride than the V2. That should have been your first bike. Screw it might as well slap a turbo on it while you are there seeing as you are not going to test it's limits.

    • @ridewithKY
      @ridewithKY  Год назад +1

      I actually did one better… I bought both. 😂. But even if I didn’t, it doesn’t matter. Let people buy what they want, they don’t have to justify it to you. You also don’t have to use all the engines power to enjoy it. If you have more power you do not have to constantly be “in the right gear” to pass or merge onto the freeway for example. This is why you see luxury vehicles with powerful engines quite often, they aren’t made that way so the owner can pin it everywhere they go, it’s so they can maneuver with traffic with ease.
      Sounds like you may be the one that’s vain since you believe you aren’t responsible enough to start on a faster bike, so nobody else is either.
      Let people do what they want and you do what you want. It’s as simple as that.

    How do you feel about the handling of the Ducati verses the handling of the Vitpilen? I recent rode an Aprilia Shiver 900 which surprised me with it's handling. It felt as if it had power assisted steering. It dives into the turns with just the lightest touch of the bars. My Vitpilen feels nothing like that, but I wish it did. The Shiver weighs 500 lbs but it never feels like a heavy pig.

    • @ridewithKY
      @ridewithKY  Год назад +1

      The Vit feels really light on its feet, very maneuverable at low speeds. I really notice how light the Vit is during tight maneuvers and at slower speeds. The Ducati I feel the weight at lower speeds as I would guess it’s probably around 100 lbs heavier than the Vit. However, the Ducati is really stable at speed, it really inspires confidence at speed. The area where I feel the difference in handling most is during long sweepers, the Ducati is really stable and you can feed power in effortlessly. It’s difficult to articulate since both bikes are so different. The Vit, I have to be in the “correct” gear before approaching a turn. The Ducati I can leave in just about any gear and have the power to put the weight back on the back tire to exit out of the turn.

    • @georgekrpan3181
      @georgekrpan3181 Год назад +1

      @@ridewithKY It sounds as though the Ducati isn't like the Aprilia. The Shiver was a not so successful competitor to the Monster. I wonder if the Monster turns as well as the Shiver. I have a friend who's got a new Monster. I'll have to beg him for a ride on it. For the tight, twisty roads that I ride handling is number one. I understand that it may come at the price of high speed stability but I didn't notice that the Shiver lacked it.

    • @ridewithKY
      @ridewithKY  Год назад +1

      I couldn’t tell ya. I’ve never had the privilege of riding a monster, unfortunately. If you have really tight turns where you are at, a super bike probably isn’t going to be the best choice anyways. Even my v2 which is a little more torquey than most super bikes doesn’t really come alive until 7000 or so.
