I first heard this session when I was 16, clumsy and shy. I'm now 52, clumsy and shy and it still sounds amazing.
Half a Person is a song that speaks to the depths of my soul.
One of the best Peel Sessions.
This block of Smiths' songs leaves me with the opinion that Johnny Marr is a grossly-underappreciated guitarist in the history of Rock music
Really, I thought he was widely recognised as being a guitar God?
tell that to blur and oasis
@@LukSter18998: I'm a huuuge fan of all things Damon Albarn, but the Bros. Gallaghar (sp?) are over-rated, in my opinion
I know this is an old comment but Marr is considered one of the most influential guitarists of all time, at least within Indie, people know his talents. He's been in many bands and even worked with Hans Zimmer on Inception
@@PatternAgainstUser1: With "Alternative music" mainstreaming three decades ago now, what even does "Indie" mean as a style/genre term anymore?
puzzling why they still haven’t officially released all the Peel sessions.
The Smiths catalogue is absolutely underutilized. So much could be done with it. I don't know why it isn't.
@@ok2760 because Morrissey hates mike Joyce and doesn’t want him making money off potential reissues
@@busterthebear6756 this is very true
@@ok2760 Because Moz is a very hateful and childish person, is it any wonder that he is also a right-wing prick?
"Yay" The Smith's, I saw them live outside the South Bank Art's building 83/84 , brilliant band💕🎶
I used to love and tape the John Peel sessions; God Bless Him😎🎸🎧🎶
