- This is a crab apple I bought from from a home store that was pencil thick. The last 5 years I have trunk chopped it and then just let it grow. I plan on doing it for a few more until I get the size and taper I'm looking for.

I simply do Bonsai in parallel with my busy life as a way to relax and connect to nature. I approach bonsai with a very simple approach, simple tools, and just start working.
More updates to come, and thank you for watching.

What a tough old tree! Looking forward to seeing how it looks at the end of the growth season.
Thanks - I have great plans for this guy but it's just a waiting game now. I'll see what other trouble I can get into.
Very funny and informative too. Loved this :)
Thank you! - Bonsai is my detox time so I try and have a lot of fun with it.
Hey! Just subscribed 😁 brilliant crab apple and great demo of chop techniques (and more importantly their results!) 💚💚💚
Tank you so much!!!
Wow, that's some beautiful movement in that trunk ❤xx
Yeah it's not bad for a home depot buy
I really like your style of bonsai work videos
I try and make it funny and right to the point, kinda makes them short but it's how they keep ending up 😁
Nice job
Thank you very much!
Aggressively Awesome!
Yeah - I'm trying to make a crazy old, craggy, spooky, scared tree. Hopefully I'm not too harsh :)
Nice video nice tree and great sounds!!!!😊😊😅😅
Thank you! - tend to get carried away with the fun of editing
Wes Anderson films Bonsai? V enjoyable. It’s a characterful trunk.
I had to look him up as I didn't know who that was. I try and enjoy what I'm filming and and some humor into it.
I think it is staring at me. It's creeping me out!
🤪
😆
Are you not concerned about the snap at the base of the grafted leader?
It's only half snapped, so it should still grow, if not there is a bud at the top. We'll see and I'll do a spring update
What wound sealer do you use?
Just petroleum jelly, simple but works perfectly fine
Perhaps a touch heavy on the sound effects and elevator music? Plus if you were already going hard on audio editing why include the fart…
That's just my editing style, not everyone likes the same cup of tea - but I was always told better to let it out then in
Thanks for watching though!

@@givetanks What's the next tree on the list? I guess it's a secret :D
@@IndoorEcosystem something like this , Japanese maple, loblolly pine, Massive beech, even bigger hornbeam, then some red maples thrown in - then I hibernate for 3 months
