I wish I would've had this video at the beginning of the school year when we were discussing healthcare career pathways. But it's all good. I'll use it next school year.
My point is that as we have seen many times in our healthcare system. Sometime these systems of accountability gets breach and Who puts patients in harms way like I have seen many times when doctors recommend the wrong treatment and after being told several times by nurse that this is not the necessary treatment the doctor dismisses it and usually calls a supervisor like when we submit a write up it usually gets dismissed. How are we expected to trust our healthcare system when some of these key functions gets dismissed by our higher ranking? Like higher ranking doctors don’t know more than the regular sometime people have more experience than the most senior doctor.
This is very true, it's why I left healthcare to become an advocate. It's one thing to know the right thing to do, it's another to be at the mercy of retaliation
I plan to become the CEO of my hospital I work at one day. Although I’m going to pursue a career in Medicine... hopefully I can become a chief of surgery one day , is cardiology a good speciality. Also just a question if u want to become a ceo of the hospital can’t u start off as a surgeon then get promoted as a ceo .... I saw someone who was a chief of surgery become the head of the hospital?
