I've had mine 2-3 weeks now and love it. This is a great entry level glider. Its definitely not the hot/warm liner that a Conscendo is. I put a 3S 1300 in it and can fly 30-60 minutes. 10-20 seconds of power puts you at 300-400 feet and it takes 5-10 minutes to come down if you like. You can fly it like a sport glider and make the battery only last 5 minutes if you like but thats not what it does best.
I put a lawn chair out and sit back and relax. Its a very calm plane.

I love this plane still getting used to a glider here is flat East Central Florida. I got 20 minutes of flight on a 3S 1800 and still had 43% left.
You commented on trimming. I try to trim th
I mix some down elevator in with my throttle but do not turn it on till after launch. The plane will pitch up quite a bit with full throttle. I am considering putting in a negative throttle expo as it seems around half throttle I start to get some response.
This plane can be hard to see as it is almost all white so I painted the top wing tips with fluorescent orange and put a wide dark blue strip on the bottom wings. Makes it big difference.

    • @GBLynden
      @GBLynden  3 года назад

Thanks Steve! I have had good luck using the wingtips for orientation, but many will benefit from do what you did too. I am not much for throttle mixes, but I do have different trims set in to the flight modes and I can dynamically set them. That really helps when flying EDF Jets too 👊🏻💥👊🏻

Enjoyed it on a couple counts, one not the 1st, 2nd, 3rd or even 4th "maiden",. Second a glider shown gliding whereas most are on power without showing the glide.
Though program in some camber to both aileron and flaps instead of using flaps in glide mode.

@@GBLynden Nothing wrong with you my friend - just me, being "Karen", bitching because lack of flying ..😉😜
      P.S.
God knows what I saw, sitting in chair and watching video - maybe just my old fears - please test following for your self ..
At 2:50 - this model is so nice - you only lost height in that sharp turn ..
(or you flying and trimming well, if you wanted that sharp turn - it’s hard to conclude just by watching the video.. 🙃 )
If it was my old MPX Cularis, my princess - it will start crying and immediately collapse to tip stall - if you use just a tiny bit more of ailerons ..
(especially with half or more flaps ..)
I keep old lady just for that reason - to remind me of using rudder ..
Try turns with just ailerons (at height, please), then coordinated with ail and rudder and then just with small rudder inputs
      - and see how this works for you .. (always with delicate inputs on elevator - as needed ..)
Try to fly "pancake 8" - losing as little height as possible in turns - excellent exercise even for sport flying ..
And all of that - with diff flap settings ..
On various gliders - just a 2 to 3 degrees of down flap - (maybe max 5 on "foamies") - is usually enough for "thermal" or "milking the glide" ..
Opposite - even a degree less, of up flap - will give you penetration in winds or escape from downdrafts ..
Half or more flap - I use just on final, straight - descent for landing ..
(Lastly, you can set up "crow" - for real braking and short landings ..)
All of this "old fart" babbling is just for gliding portion - in aerobatics - keep more energy and height - and fly the hell of model - as it allows you .. 😉
