World champion pilot Daniel Aeberli joins model aircraft manufacturer FMS in creating the world's first scale performance foam glider- the ASW-17. True to the FMS spirit, no detail was overlooked in the design of the ASW-17. The FMS engineers made 4 expensive tooling adjustments just to micro-adjust the airfoil for perfect efficiency.
The wing, vertical and horizontal stabilizers are designed with a snap-together structure. With a simple snap, the surfaces attach to the fuselage with pinpoint precision- no screws or glue necessary! Build the aircraft in as little as 3 minutes!
Like the 3000mm Fox, the ASW-17 has a pre-installed carbon fiber spar that ensures wing rigidity in high-G maneuvers.
To achieve the same dihedral as the real aircraft, the ASW-17 was designed with a specialized CNC aluminum spar joiner- allowing the aircraft to maintain its wing geometry during demanding flight routines.
Performance-wise, a high-quality Hobbywing 40A ESC paired with a Predator 3541-750KV motor provides ample power with a 4S pack to perform most aerobatic maneuvers.

Hello Johnny. I fly with mine since more than one year.
May I recommand to you to put back your Lipo if you want to have a real smooth glider. I fly up to 21-22 min with less of 3 min of throttle in thermal mode. With 25% of capacity left.
Another advice. Better to be > 75% of powerful for hand taking off.
FMS ASW-17 IS a very nice glider.

Love the way it sounds gliding by. It will stay in the air for a long time on a windy day, I got an 1hour 22 minute flight on mine with a 4s 3200mah 30c Just use the power to get to 400' and would fly it down to 25' and repeat the process. Good video and enjoyed watching as always.

Nice looking plane and great flying I been flying for 54 years and this year took the plunge to fly edf luv it, I haven't try gliders yet looks like it be my next adventure I hate I waited so long to try something new, do it while you can lol☺✈🛩🛫🛬🪂✈ 👍👍

hey man is there a way i can reach out to you i need some more info about this since im a beginner and i dont know what to purchase and i see everywhere you need like extra receiver and remotes n stuff like that if theres a way to already get a ready to fly kit?
There is not a bind n fly option, you will have to have your own Transmitter, Receiver and battery to make it fly.
I saw that yeah is it like you need to wire the stuff or just plug in and boom ready?? and what do i even buy to make this FMS ASW-17 fully ready to fly? @@JohnVHRC
