  • In this video I rant about my first disappointment with Swift along with telling them if that is the best they can do, just send me back to the Lathrop terminal and I will turn in my truck.
There is no reason drivers should have less than 2500 mile a week average if they do not go home for 2 to 4 weeks at a time.

I would have gone ballistic!!!!!! Good for you!! I always call customers before PU and DEL to check on things before I get there! Good advice!! Drivers have to be proactive! Swift, like many other carriers, probably has more drivers than work! They need to be more honest / transparent with their drivers! If many are saying they don;t make enough and they don't have enough work, let them leave!!! Swift needs to tell them we don't have the work, you need to go , and we will call you when things get better!

Appreciate the vlog. I’m currently going thru the app process for the swift academy. I’m single no kids so OTR is perfect for me. I’m just hoping I don’t have trouble staying moving as I don’t have a home and want to be out on the road.

You will be fine I would suggest going toe which is what I am going to switch too. You are doing it the right way if you are not married nor have kids. In a couple years you should be able to put away enough to buy a house. I am working on a video now to show what I am making a week for each week will be posted soon.

Lol, you missed the whole point, I was sent into an area that had no freight three days before the load had to pick up. While at the same time there was freight in Washington but they would not send me back because they had already sent to Idaho. Yes the economy is not as good as a few years ago but the economy always goes up and down.
