Just changed the wiper on my 2013 Equinox. My eyes and head were spinning reading the instructions that came with the Goodyear wiper, that I also bought at Costco. After watching your video, it took me 5 minutes to install. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!!
Thank you soooo much. I had spent about an hour scratching my head trying to figure out the adapters. Would have quit for another day except I found you video. Thanks for taking the time to do this.
There are several RUclips videos on replacing Goodyear wiper blades, including one or more from the manufacturer (Goodyear). They are all useless and I wasted several frustrating hours trying to figure out how to change the wiper blades on my Accord! Finally I found your video. It is without a doubt by far the best and it enabled me to change a pair of wipers in about 3 minutes (this included running up and downstairs from my computer to the car several times to view the review parts of the video). Thank you so much.
thank you for taking the time to make this video. I ran into the problem of not being able to remove the factory installed standard adapter and was afraid of breaking something if I pulled on it too hard. watching your video assured me that the thing would actually come out and I used a screwdriver like you recommended. Your video is very useful unlike the shameful video produced by Goodyear.
I would have never thought that a wiper would be so hard to figure out how to install these on two different cars two different ways.. Thanks so much for providing the instructions that goodyear failed to give a good example for.
Thank you so much for this video! You saved me a lot of money and a huge fight with my dad when he insisted on changing the wipers on my car himself. Was at the point I thought he was going to break my car completely.
Very helpful in my installation on my 2007 Toyota Avalon. My old wiper flew off the car today, never to be seen again by me. Luckily, I'd bought a spare pair from Costco when they were on sale. Thanks for the post.
Thank you for this video, now I know where to start lol.. As several comments have already stated, the Goodyear instructions were confusing... This has helped me~
Great instructions and video. I have an '07 Volvo xc90, and had to remove the grey adaptors (A14) and replace it w/ the provided (A13) adaptors for both wipers before I could seat the attachment to the windshield wiper arm properly. Thanks!
This is a very useful video. Thank you for making it avail. I had watched a different one that a guy posted that said I had to go to a certain store and pay 44 dollars to change the wiper blades on a 2013 Chevy Traverse. NOT TRUE. I watched your video, went outside and changed the pieces the way you did. PERFECT..thank you
Thanks, that helped. On a 2006 Volvo the gray bit of the piece that goes on the wiper arm needs to be swapped out for the other one that comes in the package. Put that piece needs to be put on with the end farthest from the wiper arm tip first, then pivot the end part up over the wiper arm end. Then snap on the clip.
I have always been DYI, then I had my 2nd back surgery and Fibermyalga showed up an discovered sometimes it best to let someone else do some of the work as I sit with a coffee.
I found it easier to pry the thing out ( the adaptor ) by picking it with a flat screw driver from the inside instead of prying it outside. There is a clip that attaches to a small plastic bar, just press it and out it comes. Comes out nice and clean, and does not dent or scratch any platic on the outside. Placed it on my 2012 BMW x5, and looks more aggressive and better looking than my original thin and skinny wiper blades.
you could also just push from the bottom to get off the default clips. thank you for the great video. I was about to return my wipers cause it wasn't working.
This was mostly helpful. It got me started. One addition, I had to change part of the adapter to the adapter he references. LOL. The second adapter came with part A14 attached. In order to fit my 2014 Tundra I had to change it with the A13 adapter.
Thanks to this video, I was able to install those Costco Goodyear wiper blades. Don't know what I would have done without this helpful guide. Thanks for making this video available.
Thanks for the video it really helped me out. You may want to add that some users, such as myself, will have to replace the shorter grey tab on the clip, with the longer grey tab.
I am indebted to you sir for a Accurate, Brief and Clarity in the installation of the wiper blades in question. You have done me a service that I hope to repay in some comparative way. My wife's BBF cane over (her husband just rotated out to the Sandbox for 10-18 months for his first deployment and of course the day he leaves her wiper blades take a dump. She comes over and of course I'm willing to help but stall her new wipers right? There are instructions but they're missing some steps. Well your video came in handy and saved me the time and effort that I eventually would've been able to but with some sweat...thanks for saving me the time and effort on my part.
Very helpful, although the camera work is a bit clumsy. The trouble I had was swapping out the base, which this video illustrates very well. It is, in fact, easy once you use a screwdriver in the correct place. For the record, my car is a 2010 Ford Escape.
Excellent video and thank you! I used a pair of pliars to pull out the insert and it came out fairly easily without dinging the plastic on the part to be installed. Otherwise perfect.
I found the Goodyear tutorial on replacing the hybrid wiper easy to follow. The problem I have with this video is he doesn't mention that you might have to swap out the A14 clip with the A13 clip, as another commenter mentioned. I had to do this on my 2014 Ford C-Max. Not knowing this, and since this video doesn't mention it, this video doesn't work for some replacements. Maybe Goodyear improved their video since this video was made because I found it clear and concise. Redo the video and include the A14 and A13 clip swap.
Thank you very much for this video. It saved me much time. I swear the windshield wiper attachment designer is a hateful person in a dark office at the far end of a long hallway.
You're risking putting a screw driver through your finger that way. Just put a screw driver through the hole on the preinstalled adapter and pull up with a little force. The adapter will pop right out.
The way you take out the original adapter is mental, you should use pliers to be safe, because twisting in the motion can be dangerous when force is applied
i bought mine at costco for 7.99 but the parts that came with it fit... but wont clip or lock, so whats the point. for a ford f150 2011. went to dealer and bought one for 13.99 went on smooth with no problem. You might pay a little more but you wont hassle at all.
The adapter comes out much easier if you just pull on it from the end opposite the arrows with a pair of pliers and you don't ding up the plastic on the wiper in the process. The Goodyear video is pretty good now so maybe they improved it.
it is beyond me why the car companies make it so bloody difficult to to such an easy task.an adapter for the adapter that needs another adapter!! thank you very much for showing how to do this if your a rocket scientist perhaps success is inevitable but for the normal human being it is beyond comprehension why they don't make one type of windshield wiper and that's it no more no less give us a bloody break I'm just trying to live my life and not order a shotgun sandwich on rye!! it's the little things
Instead of prying off the first adapter, just grab it firmly with pliers and pull. Tried this after I couldn't pry it off. Also need to take off adapter 14 and attach adapter 13.
Good video but next time record it in Landscape mode(horizontal) not vertical....also, have a friend hold the camera for you and increase your lighting...it makes for a more professional looking video.
Great video! But how to remove these Goodyear hybrid wiper blade from hook? The blade instruction has no info. I can not find info from the web either.
mine came with 3 adaptors. Is every size different? These are truly a pain in the butt. I feel like returning them and just going to auto zone even if I have to pay double for each wipe.
I didn't need any of the adaptors for my 1989 Chevy CK15 PU. Snapped the new blade onto the PIN, put it back on the truck, and the wiper was about 1.5 inches AWAY FROM MAKING CONTACT WITH THE WINDSHIELD! What gives?
Here's an idea how about Costco start realizing they are becoming harbor freight with all their "universal fit" garbage! These will nit fit on a Tundra and their book even lists the wrong size
This video worked. It covered the one point that Goodyear left out of their instructions. Thanaks
no prob!

Your video is what makes RUclips great.

@@mch4613 No problem, thanks again! Costco had the Michellin ones last year and I needed an adapter mailed to me. Thanks
I was stuck until I found this video. Getting that first piece off was the key. THANKS!
No problem, glad I can help!
Soooo helpful. I was so frustrated with these wipers...but you set me straight for my Sequoia....Thanks a ton!
You just made my life so much easier... I was breaking my head on what was wrong with the wipers.
Late reply, but glad it was able to help you!

Thank you! My FIL almost had a nervous breakdown trying to figure out these stupid wipers. We had them installed in minutes after finding your video.
Late reply, but glad it was able to help you!
Thank you! I would have been driving my truck in the first rain of the season without new wipers if it wasn't for you and your video!
no problem! glad I can help!

Thank you so much for posting this! I was completely lost looking at the included instructions!
Late reply, but glad it was able to help you!
Thanks a lot.. trying to read the instructions on the package was useless!! Your little video saved me from taking my wipers back to Costco..
Late reply, but glad it was able to help you!
Thank you for this video, now I know where to start lol.. As several comments have already stated, the Goodyear instructions were confusing... This has helped me~
No problem, glad I can help!
Thank you so much!!! i've been struggling with this thing all day!!!!!
No Prob!
awe Box you poor thing. I almost got stuck, but I know someone smarter then me posted a video on RUclips. Thanks Costco for carrying these blades :D
Thank you for posting. I was having a very difficult time trying to figure these wipers out! Your video definitely saved me! Thank You!
Late reply, but glad it was able to help you!

A helpful tip,
The thicker the flat end screwdriver, the easier it is to pull it out without any damage
The arrow needs to be on the right, and the left side should have an little ledge... there pry it off
many thanks. first time replacing windshield wipers and your video was a perfect guide.
Late reply, but glad it was able to help you!

Thank You M Ch, very useful, easy ......................... after your video. I did not have any clue before watch it!!
Late reply, but glad it was able to help you!
I almost ended up buy a new set until I saw your video. Thanks for sharing this great instructions!

+Rob Jones yea the one good year put out was pretty bad that we have to make our own videos to help each other!
I used vice grips only after I jammed the darn screwdriver into my finger. Ouch!
Thanks for making this video !! Made it easy for me to understand & install! Happy Holidays!
No problem! Happy Holidays to you as well!

Thanks for the video mate. It helped to figure out how to remove and attach the adaptor
Late reply, but glad it was able to help you!
Great Video, I was about to return these things before I checked this out. Good Year and Costco should pay you.
Hi Jason, no problem!
Thanks for doing this. That factory installed adaptor is awful; I would have given up had I not found your tutorial!
Clay Hughes no problem!

Clay Hughes thanks if it wasn't for your video I would've not put them on thank you so much
Good job! Watched this once; installed easily. Thanks!
Late reply, but glad it was able to help you!
Thank you for posting this! Picking up some for my Accord tomorrow :)

Thanks so much for this video, you saved me, I was lost - instructions were worthless.

Thank you! I've never had such a hard time putting on wipers, I have a vw passat so I use almost all adapters.. no wonder these things are five buck's
no prob, glad I can help! Happy New Year!
thank you for this video..after removing that bracket (you actually showed how to do it), installation was a breeze.
Late reply, but glad it was able to help you!
Caught these same blades in a yard sale.....Good help

it's the little things
Thanks for the vid! Just did mine with your help. Would have felt like an idiot breaking the plastic with gorilla hands LOL
Suggestion - best not to use the top of the hood as a work table.....
Instead of prying off the first adapter, just grab it firmly with pliers and pull. Tried this after I couldn't pry it off.
Also need to take off adapter 14 and attach adapter 13.
Use a really small flathead and it won't mess up the wiper blade.
I think it should be noted that if you have the hook arm you dont need to switch adaptors
Thank you, thank you, thank you!
that helped. still needed my common sense to figure out how to install on my Honda Accord.
Late reply, but glad it was able to help you!
Good video but next time record it in Landscape mode(horizontal) not vertical....also, have a friend hold the camera for you and increase your lighting...it makes for a more professional looking video.
Thanks. My was the hook type, but you started me.
Thank you for this, great job!
Late reply, but glad it was able to help you!
Dude U R a genius!!! Thank you!!!
Late reply, but glad it was able to help you!
What model car did you apply? I have a 16 Ford focus and I cannot get the adapter in the arm.
Correct info but realistically you can just use your hands to pull off the adapter
Great video! But how to remove these Goodyear hybrid wiper blade from hook? The blade instruction has no info. I can not find info from the web either.
Thanks man good video!!!!
Very Helpful. Thanks a lot!
Late reply, but glad it was able to help you!
Who knew it was so easy!
Thanks excellent guide:)
Late reply, but glad it was able to help you!
if you watch the goodyear video it is esay to remove the adapter. No screw driver needed justlift up and pull on the adapter and i comes right out .
Great video!👍🏼 very helpful!
Thank you!!!
Late reply, but glad it was able to help you!
mine came with 3 adaptors. Is every size different? These are truly a pain in the butt. I feel like returning them and just going to auto zone even if I have to pay double for each wipe.
I'm thinking the view would've been a lot better with the camera on a wide angle. I'm sure it was real good, but I just couldn't see half of it.
Super helpful. Thanks!
OMG what is wrong with Goodyear? Keep the fking adapter OFF! Thank GOD I found this
Sorry, maybe this is t the same type of wiper but cant you just flip the adapter up, youll feel resistance, then slide up?
Thanks. The instructions that come with these besides being written in extremely small print, don't make a lot of sense.
No problem, glad I can help!
Thank you I would have never figure out which adapter to use
Late reply, but glad it was able to help you!
Rube Goldberg lives!!!! And designs wiper attachment systems...
James Fletcher what year tundra? It fit on my 12
Thanks. This helped a lot
Late reply, but glad it was able to help you!
Thank you!! I fight these every time!!
Late reply, but glad it was able to help you!
Omg thank you for saving my hands!
no prob, glad I can help! Happy New Year!
