Bob, can’t thank you enough for this video. I purchased the Screen DC and cable through your shop. Used it on my dives in Cozumel recently. Absolutely love it. I searched out beforehand the manual online and cheat sheet, which was so useful, even printed it out as the instructions that come with it are minimalist. Again I highly recommend this DC to anyone on a budget. It’s design is brilliant, so easy to read while diving. Back at home, the cable hookup to the pc was easy and intuitive to use the software, albeit basic. Again thanks for the video, much much appreciated.

Hi Bob, thanks for the video. Recently purchased this as a console for my HOG package. Never dived with a computer before so excuse me if I am asking dumb questions. On the mix mode, is gas 1 to be the gas starting off or do you switch between gas one and gas 2 depending upon air vs Nitrox? I currently have no plans to change gas in the middle of a dive. Do you think you could go through an example or two of what one should do as they are setting up an actual dive?
Also, it seems that a very few companies actually manufacture the computers for the many dive companies. How similar are the menus and functions for the bulk of the recreational computers? As many folks ay have or consider buying backup's do folks have any issues operating two different computers while preparing dives especially on a crowded boat?

gas 1 and gas 2 is used for sidemount where you switch tanks during the dive underwater, if youre only switching between air and nitrox at the surface you just need to set gas 1 for your nitrox mix and switch between regular air mode and nitrox gas1
as for dive computers, you need to study and understand the operations of each and every model of computer as they are quite different across brands and some even across size (puck size vs watch size). If you stick to only one brand, maybe the advantage is the menu face, arrangement of items and the settings are the same however, do note that models with 1 button differ menu presses with the 2 or 4 button ones so you must always check, memorize and understand the user manual before you go for a dive
Trying to set up my new seac screen but dont understand what sft lev is. And the link you provided doesn't work anymore.
Also what is deco vlt and mod vlt
The link for the owners manual does not work. The one that came with is worthless.
