In every single timeline, Viktor wins, a fact Jayce recognises. It is only in the timeline where Ekko breaks time can future-Viktor appear to talk down Glorious Viktor and convince him to stop the Glorious Evolution and its stagnant perfection. The Boy Saviour saves the world by allowing the Big Bad to stop himself, fulfilling the prophecy of the former and maintaining the agency of the latter. Excellent writing!
Ekko was genuinely one of the only characters who *never* strayed from his path, his intentions, his mind, and goals. Unlike Vi and Jinx, who had to conform to the harsh conditions and make hard desicions, Ekko always did it his way, and changed every unfair fight into his advantage. The Boy Savior.
Remember when you are being mind controlled just say no, viktor can not legally mind control you without consent. Why didn't everyone else think of that
The only thing that surprises me is that all the credit for the victory is given to Ekko when it was ultimately a team effort. What Ekko managed to do was give Victor a lucid moment to listen to what Jayce had to say. Practically, without Jayce there, what Ekko achieved would have been… giving Victor a wound? And without Ekko there, everything would have ended up just like in Jayce's vision. Give some credit to the guy who had to live for quite a while in a Fallout-style universe, only to end up sacrificing himself alongside his best friend for the good of all Runeterra.
I was so worried about the time travel thing coming into act 3, because it’s really hard to not make that overpowered, but I think they struck a perfect balance here. I do like that it's Ekko that beats Viktor. They both started out as brilliant kids that just wanted to make the lives of people in Zaun better. One last little rhyme if you would.

I was shaking when the robots held ekko for more than 4 seconds.
I was counting, resetting the timer, counting again when I was watching him getting held by the robots
He got no girlfriend
He got no recognition
he got no much screentime
But he got the PEOPLE
How about alternative universe powder?
Ekko and Jinx got together in the end COPIUM
But nah fr man deserves the best ending at this point , he saved everything here
@@LameLami sadly It doens't count in his original timeline
the girl is still there she just left the city... yeah shit aint looking good
@@LameLami She's with alternate universe Ekko, presumably, the one that was left behind when our Ekko returned to his own universe.
0:18 That seems painful!
What's more impressive is when he rewinds, he retains some of the damage. You can see it everytime he rewinds in the show where he took damage, and on his on lol cinematic. My man's durability is high af.
the team did such an amazing job the facial expressions when Ekko was using his ult to go back even further just wow
Ekko really lived up to the boy saviour title
Ekko probably thinks he killed jayce
he never liked him so he's probably more sad about jinx and heimer
@@HisameArtworkI don’t think Ekko hated Jayce that much tho, it was more just disdain since to Ekko, Jayce is kinda the reason his life sucks after Jayce entered benzos shop - I think it would still hurt since to him he’s the one that did it
@@ThistleBristleBerry On the same note, Jayce gave Ekko a basic lesson on how the HEX-TECH works by teaching him how to make a rune work.
@ ooo smart
Ekko is The League of Legends 😭🤍
Out of all the champions in both regions in game and show Ekko has always been my favorite in zaun. The guy has his own game and most short trailers between the two regions.
Ekko was way more interesting to me then the other characters they barely gave him any screen time
dude was spamming ult lol
urf mode
xd
This from Viktor's perspective is literally just Ekko showing up and throwing a black hole nuke on him.
Crazy how both Ekko AND Viktor ended up being the real heros. Also Jayce
hello there mr silly crystal pvp
I FEEL JAYCE WAS THERE FOR THE HOMO EROTIC VIBES, he didnt really do much else
@@Alexavian the Viktor that wanted to stop his past self looked at multiple timelines and the ones that Viktor and Jayce were friends were the ones that had the best chance of doing so. Jayce was super important for that
@EKPB Jayce was there so many times, he was always going to be there with her "partner" ❤️
@Alexavian OMFG, they are not gay. They're brothers. Not everything has to be romantic to have weight and meaning, the love siblings and brothers hold for each other is stronger than a romantic entanglement.
0:20 Imagine how painful it had to be to get closelined by a creature probably made of hard rock and crystal, while moving at mach 1. And bro *still* somehow managed to bounce back
Even Viktor was astonished by Ekko device
3 out of the biggest geniuses of pnz worked on that device he better be impressed
Its a awesome touch the origin of Ekkos iconic scrap blade was actually a propeller from Jinx Blimp.
The swords are actually the clock's hands
He's the boy who shattered time, so it makes sense he shattered the clock's hands and use them as a weapon
Heimerdingers pupil saved Heimerdingers Pupil from Heimerdingers Pupil
Ekko when testing out the Z-Drive: The limit is 4 seconds
Ekko when the world is at stake: And limits were meant to be broken (sets the timer well past 4 seconds)
Our boy's willpower needs to be studied.
0:53 the ANXIETY that this scene gives us just HORRIBLE, trapped in that loop where there's no hope more than accepting that fate... increasing the seconds was a smart (and dangerous) move
Ekko live up to his name....THE BOY SAVIOR indeed.
That entire sequence was so well made, MY MAN EKKO SAVING THE DAY LIKE A HERO
Ekko is the MVP of Arcane
ekko's perspective on this is so funny
rocks up
is the goat
kills viktor
wins
leaves
He could resist the victors influence and the ascension, because he saw blue and pink in the sky and remebered what he fights for
From Pipe To Clocktower Hand
Bro be really using anything not an actual weapon to fight with
It’s really clever to have the character who can time loop to fight with a clock hand - which is what allows us to perceive time by looping around the clock’s face. Great character design
so that's what it was
Also the clock hand resembles his weapon from the game so this was peak fan service for LoL fans and peak awesomeness for Arcane fans
0:29 the way the music bumps into a more techno beat is so cool
Song name?
@ the challenger
1:23to 1:33! Did anyone else notice that his rewind is exactly 10 seconds? It's just like Heimerdinger said! Or, sang in Spin the Wheel: "And if you loved the journey more than the end, go ahead, just turn that hour glass around and count to ten"
Anyone else notice the weapon Ekko was using was one of the hands to the clocktower... Cool little detail
Ekko and Jayce carried the entire universe on their backs and I'm sick of people acting like they didn't
The way there was no dialogue until viktor gets hit... Ekko locked in
Ekko was genuinely one of the only characters who *never* strayed from his path, his intentions, his mind, and goals.
Why didn't everyone else think of that
I love how this is the first interaction between Viktor and Ekko yet it’s like the most important interaction in the show
The only thing that surprises me is that all the credit for the victory is given to Ekko when it was ultimately a team effort.
Ekko really did say to viktor.. “Your time is up!”
I was so worried about the time travel thing coming into act 3, because it’s really hard to not make that overpowered, but I think they struck a perfect balance here. It is incredibly powerful, sure, but we see its limitations right here. Great job showing off Ekko without him completely stealing the show.
Well if it isn’t the boy savior
In a sea of motionless stars, Ekko is a comet
The Boy (Savior) Who Shattered Time
Alternate Powder reacting to Ekko’s heroic moment: I’m glad it’s you…it had to be you.
Powder yes? Not Jinx?
Without any irony, ekko has become an inspiration to me like no other character
Ekko clutched s1. Ekko clutched again in s2. What is he? Some sort of League of Legend.
THE BOY SAVIOUR COMING IN CLUTCH
What an amazing shot, the dynamic camera, the forced perspective, the sound design. I can't stop watching it
He gave up paradise and risked his life to save others. The boy savior.
The limit was 4 seconds, but i feel like each time he rewind, the limit became shorter which is why he had to crank it back.
Ekko so goated bro
I knew he'd have to crank it past the red line, but setting it all the way....considering what it did....I still remember those fur tuffs stuck to his face. I was holding my breath this entire fight.
Season 2 of arcane is characters trying not to change but ending up wildly different due to those choices. Ekko is the only character that actively tries to change making him the outlier and hero of the story. His IS change
some change for the better like jinx going back to being powder
@ truth
THE BOY SAVIOUR🗣🔥🔥
It’s safe to say the production team spent all their budget to make Ekko look cool as hell
The boy savior.
Truly.
What I find interesting is ekko’s mask at the begin of season 1
And viktor’s where are almost exactly the same
Both representing the same thing but in different ways
A force of order and chaos
My favorite part about this is the Dimension Jace was in happened in an alternate timeline and the fact Ekko is here with his time traveling device means his presence changes everything
*The Boy Savior who Shattered Time 🕰️⏱️⚡️*
Ekko: "It's rewind time!"
If a youtube video starts with "Ekko vs" you know it will be 🔥🔥
I do like that it's Ekko that beats Viktor. They both started out as brilliant kids that just wanted to make the lives of people in Zaun better. One last little rhyme if you would.
Ekko being the main character was not what I was expecting this season
0:40 the camera angle looks like Berserk
"VIKTORRR!"
-Ekko, even though I'm not sure he even knew Viktor existed until this scene
My theory is that since we know that Vicktor was the wizard who met young Jayce in the past and sent him to a future dimention, maybe he's also the one who sent ekko and heimerdinger to the past to make the z-drive ... Knowing how all of this will play out ....
Ekko the mvp of arcane
God damn, the movement and animation just screams that Ekko is locked the Fuck in
