    Hi everyone! I feel like this season just snuck up on me! I'm back sharing how I created a comfy, cozy winter bedroom all ready for the holiday season ahead and just in the nick of time as we are having lows in the teens and low 20s here! There are a few basics I always use, which mostly includes lots of different layers for some of those nights when the temperatures may vary.
    I'm also showing how to properly make a bed, which seems to be a lost art based on what I'm seeing from a lot of influencers. I'm curious what y'all think about that. Let me know in the comments below! is it a dying art, or something you personally care about doing the proper way?
    I've also shared some amazon links (at no extra cost to you) to a couple things I have in this room, and some similar options as well below.
    Here is a blog post with all the details: www.whispering...

    Hi everyone! I hope you are safe and healthy wherever you are🙂 I'm back with a cozy winter bedroom video, sharing the very simple things I do to get ready for winter, and also sharing how to properly make a bed🙂
    Next week is Thanksgiving, so I *hope* to get a recipe and tablescape video up before all the Christmas content, which I hope to get up earlier than last year.
    Let me know in the comments what you do to make the bedrooms cozy for you and/or your family this time of year!!

    ABSOLUTELY! I do not like the cold so it is important to me to be warm when I sleep; today the high was around 33 with snow...I did manage to make it to a church event we have at our church. THANKS SO MUCH; Waiting for Thanksgiving and Christmas videos. SHARED TO THE BURGH

      Seems like we're having much colder weather earlier than usual here, so I'm definitely trying to keep everyone comfortable here:-) Working on Thanksgiving and Christmas:-)

    Love this!!! I gather some of my quilts and toss pillows and I use some battery candles on timers. I have afghans that my Mother made years ago for my rocking chairs to cozy up with too. But you have given me some ideas for more change👵💖🏡😄

    Lovely as always. ❤ I admire anyone who can stuff a comforter into a duvet. 😅 But seriously, I tried and failed and got myself a quilted coverlet. My husband and I battle over the number of blankets and the thermostat. He likes it toasty and warm, and I prefer a slightly chilly room. Between the thermostat, the blankets, and the cat I often feel like I’m being baked alive. 😅

      Thank you!! Ha ha, yes I hate taking that thing out, and feathers get everywhere so I try to avoid it😂 My hubby hates anything heavy, so I once had the duvet in a flannel cover that somehow made it weigh a ton, so I’ve been only using the cotton one. I definitely don’t like to be hot either, so that’s why I have so many different options☺️

    Your room is lovely and cosy .We're from England we live in Central Florida now .I like to decorate cosy English style .I wanted an old paisley eiderdown which was usually put on beds in England in the winter years ago ..My husband found one on Ebay .We have it folded across the bottom of the bed but i seldom pull it over me as i get too hot .My husband though pulls his half over him haha .I also do what we call Hospital corners .nice and neat.

    So cozy Anita! I could not see if you use a dust ruffle with your chenille spread or maybe it is split. I have a footboard as well and don't know how to dress it! Thank you and Merry Christmas to you!

      @WhisperingPinesHomestead  Год назад +1

      Thank you so much Angela! Yes I do use a dust ruffle, mostly because I have to store boxes of fabric underneath the bed😂, and I also split the chenille spread at the ends and serged the edges because of the footboard☺️☺️ Merry Christmas to you as well!
