I was playing NISA's Steam version of the game with the fan patch BEFORE the game was patched with the official localization (the fan patch was excellent, BTW). Originally, when you talked to NPCs with that particular version of the game, the yellow dots would actually disappear from the map once they no longer had anything new to say (and would re-appear if they did, of course). So, when the game updated on me while in the middle of my playthrough of the game (I had gotten up to the Intermission Chapter), I was caught off guard when I realized the dots weren't disappearing. I initially thought my game was glitching or something, since I couldn't understand why they would remove such a cool feature. It was only after looking carefully that I realized that the color of the dot changed. Still, I was quite upset, and proceeded to look for any option I could to go back to how it was. I did eventually adjust to the change, but even now I wish they had kept it like it was. Or it least gave us the option to choose. Generally speaking, once I'm done talking to the NPCs, that's it. Why would I want to know where they are on the map if they don't have any new dialog? >_>
That would have been better. Plus there’s that waitress in the blacklight district who only has one line but keeps getting flagged as new every time you visit.
@@gyiriiiii6900 And yet, that is the absolute best game to start the series, because even as far as Daybreak, Falcom still brings many characters, discussions, and reminiscences from Sky FC and SC! And they are all crucial to the story. Trust me, you don’t wanna feel left out. Just enjoy each installment. You’ll feel the fruit of it on Daybreak and so forth.
Happy birthday from the UK. Despite being older than you, the only game I’ve ever played is “Angry Birds” !! Don’t think I could ever cope with this level of gaming. Really enjoy your videos. Working my way through your playlists
Happy Birthday! This is one of the best Trails games without any doubt. Story and gameplay, as you said is fenomenal. Wish you'll do a more spoiler kind of review, since this game touches a lot of things that are rarely touch on previous games. Daybreak 2 thankfully is not that far away. It's scheduled for early 2025, so, just half a year for it to be localized.
It is truly the best in the series, especially in terms of translation, and the revamped battle system. Over the 20 years since 2004 I have completed 12 other titles in the series, except Reverie, and this is the only one which battle system I really enjoy. Trails Through Daybreak II is slated for early 2025. The 3rd installment in Daybreak Arc is called Kai no Kiseki - Farewell, O Zemuria, and set to be released on September 26, 2024 in Japan, Mandarin, and Korean languages. No news yet of when the English version will be released. Perhaps between 2025 and 2026--or even 2027.

@@DrWiggo I've seen her dialog change slightly. But... errr, yeah, she doesn't have much to say. XD
Such a fun unboxing 😊
And another one coming in February!!
@@DrWiggo i just started playing Daybreak, makes me want to savor it more before the other one comes out ❤️
I just started Trails in the Sky FC 😭 I got a long way to go
When you're playing a series of games that average around 9 out of 10 for each entry, the time flies by. Trust me. XD
It’s worth the trip!

Thanks. Didn’t know there were many people over 71 on RUclips (and certainly not watching my videos!)
Happy Birthday!

Thanks! Yes, it seems like we’re moving into a whole new set of lore. Hopefully Daybreak 2 will have more answers (and more questions, of course)
Happy birthday!
Thanks. Thinking about finally retiring.

Agree completely about the battle system.
