How's this holding up for you. Iv got one of these logitech brio 4k pro but the quality leaves alot to be desired. Iv been thinking about hooking up my old Sony mx4 via some video capture card... But this webcam looks intresting.

I sacrificed a light seal cushion and stripped it down to the bare plastic magnetic frame, and then adhered ultra thin Velcro to it. Now a dirt cheap vive gen 1 aftermarket leather cushion, pretty much fit exactly except for down by the nose was a little too long, so I trimmed with scissors, much better you get almost none of those pressure points right under your eyes were the thinnest part of the apples light seal cushion are. I seriously think the biggest problem with the Vision Pro comfort is the light seal cushion, needs to be redesigned

dave2d made a point that if you were to blind test with no timers to go through everyday with notes, modeling, animating with pro create, davinci for ipad and lightroom, you would not be able to tell the difference between a non binned and binned m4 ipad pro

Theres a difference between the 256gb and the 512gb. It’s a small difference with the camera. ProRes video recording up to 4K at 30 fps (1080p at 30 fps for 256GB capacity)

Really i don't get the whole they tricked me i ordered mine in the first 2min and checked the technical info page not that hard todo. Its more i didn't check what i ordered... The fact they already put 'up to' in their video is a massive heads up.The extra $600 for 16Gig vs 8gig (basicly about 2.5 times more free mem after system is running basic things), 10 vs 9 cores and 512Gig of extra storage is about what we expect from apple. I personally got the 2T+gsm model but ill know ill pay for it ... its apple and i wanted the top spec. I upgraded from the 2020 model.

I bought the new 13” Pro 512GB model with the Magic Keyboard. This is to replace my relatively recent 2021 model which I’ve sold to a friend for just under the trade in price. Is the new one worth the price? Of course not. Do I need all that power, no. Is it that much better than my previous model, no. Do I like it, absolutely. The iPad Pro is my favourite gadget ever and has been since its first launch. I have a MacBook Pro but I only use that for work. I love the Magic Keyboard and had to get it again at its stupidly high price. I plan to keep this one longer than the 3 years of my last one but we’ll see how that works out!

Nice review of this series. I just finished re-reading the 31 original ones + the Firemane series. You did miss out one though: Jimmy & the Crawler which is a novella that wraps up the Riftwar Legacy plot lines. It’s not great, very short, but as the title implies it resolves the Crawler mystery.

What times we live in, you can get astonishing almost PCI Express like speeds through a USB port now. I'm running Linux off an external m.2 enclosure with no problems at all. You could theoretically run your entire system with no hard drives, great for security!

Apple are rumoured to be releasing another headset next year June 2025 bro and it will be a cheaper version and won't be the successor to the Vision Pro it will be a lite version to compete with the market leading Quest 3 headset

Have you considered using a halo strap for the AVP? That solved a lot of the comfort issues for me, it was just plain uncomfortable at first, but with the halo strap / headband mod it’s totally wearable and reasonably comfortable - no face pressure at all, the weight rests on the top of your head.

This is old, but why not branch it into multiple circuits?

The 3D clips on the Explore POV app would be good used with an elliptical machine or stair climber. Perhaps in the future it will have 30, 60, and 90 minute content for viewing.

I recently tried some other adapters I 3d printed or bought from Etsy, including trying to use 2 solo bands, some using third party quest headbands. Another one I printed removes the face interface completely. They makes me feel better, but have their own problems.

Dr. Wiggo, Wanted to do you a solid and explain the absolute mess the 3D Apple Vision Pro library is. DO NOT consider the list in All 3D Movies to be accurate. It's not, and in fact, you'll find movies in the other categories (and vice versa) that randomly show up in one place and not another. I found Venom in All 3D movie once and then it was gone, only to show up in the Super Hero category. Polar Express was hidden in only the Animated category, but not in the All 3D movies. Saw The Final Chapter wasn't showing up anywhere in any category, but I did a quick search and it popped up in the search for buy in 3D. So yeah, don't trust the lists. They don't show every movie. I reached out to Apple support and they said they're trying to improve this, but don't have an eta. I asked them point blank for a place I could go to see a updated list of all the 3D movies and they said they didn't have one. It's like they don't want my money or something. By the way, YOU HAVE TO see the Lego Batman movie in 3D on the Apple Vision Pro. It may just take the crown for the best 3D movie I've seen now. I wasn't expecting that. I'm with you Dr. Wiggo, the Apple Vision Pro is not comfortable enough to do anything but some brief media consumption. In fact, I'm getting horrible tension headaches even after watching one 2 hour movie. I'm hoping beyond hope that some 3rd party will make sturdy headgear like the other VR platforms so I can get some relief. I hope this information helps. Have a good one! vgv

As a VR/AR skeptic, I find these sort of videos interesting as now that the hype came and went, I’m curious how people feel about the Vision Pro. I wonder the pace of quality of life improvements the vision pro gets, as iPadOS lingers as still a pretty basic fork iOS. It seems like not granting developers access to the cameras directly severely limits the interactive experiences. It’ll be interesting where they go as right now the Vision Pro still looks like a very cool piece of hardware, alright software and in search of a problem.

Waiting for the Vision Pro launch in the UK. Ordered the new iPad Pro and also get mine Wednesday. It’s had great reviews and looking forward to that. The iPad (large pro especially) has been my favourite gadget for years. I have a question about the Vision Pro. Are there any Apple TV series in 3D at this time?

they messed up with the Vision Pro the same way they did at first with the Apple TV... They should have released dedicated gaming controllers and allowed everyone who developed Quest games to port them to Vision Pro. Without the proper VR gaming it feels crippled for the price and I'm still tethered to my quest ecosystem deeper

Thanks! I heard that Apple enabled watching movies together with friends and you can see their personas (maybe that's the same thing as spatial personas I'm not sure). Would love to see a review of that key feature.

Don't know why they don't have a third party Comfort adapter. There's a lot they can do if they just make a strap that's sort of ugly but comfortable and change the cushions for a high quality gel type cushion.

We see your view wobbling about and jiggling it does not sell it to people. I know you don’t see it that way but why no motion smoothing?

Will the 4301 use aftermarket toner or are you stuck using HP toner? Also, I have an old HP 4700 Color LaserJet Printer that does everything I need. It prints letter and legal size paper from 20# to heavy card stock. It prints double sided and I use it for printing books with color photos. I am now having problems with it, as it has around 500k copies on it and I need to get another printer. Will the 4301 give me the same results? I don't need all the fancies, just a good quality color laser printer. Tried to contact HP for some information and their sales team is useless. Your help is appreciated.

Welcome to the Fallout party! I remember having to pause playing Fallout to write the paper you're now grading. And just a little context behind the New Vegas purists, Fallout: NV is widely considered the best game in the series. Some people will straight up throw punches if it's not treated with biblical reverence. So, once you've finished your Fallout 4 hors d'oeuvres, I have a feeling you'll want to play Fallout 3 and New Vegas (in that order) as your main course. 76 can be dessert, but I haven't played it yet.
