Picked up a Pixel Watch 2 the other day and I'm honestly shocked at how much I've been enjoying it. Super comfortable, very accurate fitness tracking and it's integration with the phone is just about on par with an Apple watch.
I received a free pixel watch 2 with my pixel 8 pro and i have no complaints but if i was in the market for buying a smartwatch i would have gone with the larger samsung watch 6 classic just for larger display and rotating bezel .
I bought Pixel Watch 2 when it first came. Overall very satisfied and the battery life is much much better than the original Pixel Watch. I also once wear Galaxy Watch 6 classic, but did not like the one ui skin on the wear OS. In terms of fitness tracking, PW2 gave very accurate result especially the heart rate.
hey, considering buying the pw2, when you say the heartrate is accurate, could you elaborate what exercises youve seen this and when you checked? my main concern is when using the eliptical, my galaxy watch active 2 is really bad at tracking my heartrate, with it failing to read up to 5 minutes at a time, which is really important for my workout
I bought the Galaxy Watch 6 to see if it was as accurate at tracking your steps as the first gen Pixel Watch and it was not. I fully updated it and everything..I ultimately ended up putting it back in the box and returning it for the Pixel Watch 2. Still using the PW to this day and love it!
I have a pixel 7 pro that I’m quite happy with (I noticed another comment from someone claiming theirs is a “paperweight”) and Google notified me that they have a huge discount on the Pixel Watch 2 so I thought I’d watch a video or 2. I have an old Galaxy 2 (Tizen not wearsOS) which isn't very functional now and no longer gets updates. My eyes have degraded since buying that and I struggle to read any on screen text so I’d need to go into a shop and compare my ability to read the screen with my old watch which isn’t even good as a paperweight. The Pixels round screen also seems very unprotected whereas the galaxy’s flat screen, especially with a bezel (like my Galaxy 2) seems much more protected - and I think you said that the Galaxy 6 has tougher glass! Even discounted I don't think I’ll worry about it. I don't want a Samsung watch, mine wasn't even that great when I first got it. It looked better than the ticwatch it replaced and has certainly lasted longer but even the Tic Watch functioned better. I’ll probably wait until Google heavily discount Pixel watch 3 and see if that's worth it.
first off great video, i've been looking into getting a smart watch and stumbled across this video. your channel name is awesome also lol. thanks for the info and keep it going man. good shit, straight and to the point.
Sent my Pixel 2 watch back, it only manages 24 hours doing a 1 hour walk and a few notifications without using apps. My battery was very inconstant, today was the last straw 65% battery life after 14 hours, a 20 min walk, not using any apps, all battery saving tips, like turn off AOD, google assistant, turn off sun boost, so would not get 1.5 days as others are claiming, pitiful battery life, and a pity because I loved it. Gave it a week. What's the use of a smart watch if you cannot use any of the apps. The only alterative is the samsung galaxy watch, have an ultra 23
hey hey, I have google pixel 8 pro, and honestly the life spam of the google pixel watch 2 and that they don't have wireless charging are putting me in a challenge to choose between smartwatches. any suggestions, since now also we are seeing the teasers for google watch 3 , so any suggestions? peace
There is a big negative to the Samsung Fitness Tracking as it is useless at tracking floors climbed, whereas the Pixel watch is very good at this with the integrated Fitbit software. The sleep tracking is also far better on the Pixel watch, as it also logs longer naps. I hate the Samsung alternatives to the google stock software which leads to al ot of unnecessary clutter. I have both watches at present but prefer the Pixel. I think the battery life is pretty similar on both, i.e easily lasting 24 hours but not much more.
I find the Pixel Watch 2 to have pretty good battery life , I wear it even when sleeping and I usually charge it once a day and usually at charging time I have little over 40% battery left , I have Pushed it to a little over 36 hours with about 15% battery left and all featured work on all Android phones unlike the Galaxy watches wich have features that only work on Samsung phones.
I have a Samsung S22 and just found my extremely old Samsung Galaxy Gear Sport watch 😂. I plugged it in and got the itch to get a new smartwatch but realized I had moved on from utilizing Samsung Apps to Google apps and they didn't appear to be on the Samsung Apps (RUclips music, Google Pay/Wallet, Google Tasks). I took the plunge and just ordered the Pixel Watch 2 and I am already a Fitbit owner so I'm eager to see the combination of Google Apps and Fitbit altogether! Thanks for your review!
I've a small selection of watches, Fossil Carlyle from 2020, a Garmin Venu2 from 2022, and the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic. The Garmin watch software I like, along with its integration with the Garmin bike computers I have, and its battery life, but the Connect software for phone or pc is poor. The Fossil, whilst nice, just burns through battery in a few hours, and always has - even at conservative app/watch settings - I do think it's a Wear OS "thing". The 6 Classic silver, 47mm, is what I want from a wearable smart and stylish watch. I was wary of Wear OS initially, but 4 is an improvement over the Fossil version 2.4 (iirc). The classic can be worn all day, and unlike the Fitbit, the Pixel, and the Apple it's not super obvious that you have a fitness tracker on your wrist. I always think they look odd, especially if you're out of an evening. I also like the 6 classic's weight, again, it feels like a watch. The Garmin Venu 2 is super light, and yes it's great for when you're exercising, but it's lightness really reminds you it's just a tracker. So, yeah, for me it's the classic 6 and then the Venu 2, this would be exactly the same if the Venu was a Pixel.
I have an old Fitbit Versa 1 and am looking to upgrade, but neither of these seem worth it. Without the Fitbit app Samsung isn't great for me, and with a battery only lasting a day the Pixel Watch would annoy me. My ancient watch easily lasts 2-3 days even now.
Galaxy watch, inaccurate HR tracking, bad sleep tracking, not so hot GPS, Samsungs blot wear and half the storage of the Pixel watch and a good chunk of that is samsung apps that are its own versions of the same google apps, so lots of duplication
The Pixel Watch 2 would be fine if it *didn't require a darn subscription* to "Fitbit Premium" to get ANYTHING useful out of it. Also, it's basically US and UK only, if you live in Asia especially, you're SOL since Google keeps georestricting critical features.
hello does fitbit premium has sleep apnea detection on pixel 2 because samsung got sleep apnea certification for watch and it will be available around august 2024??? if pixel 2 has sleep apnea then i will definetely buy pixel watch
I was given a pixel watch when my brother migrated to another brand. I find the Fitbit trap tracking to not be terribly accurate. As I will wake up in the morning after getting up twice to use the bathroom and find that I have 1200 steps. How many days I just have a normal schedule of walking around my house and I somehow rack up 10,000 points. It just is not accurate. Also I questioned the sleep tracking as well but I'm going to try looking at that on my phone. Frustrating to have to charge my phone on a separate type of charger so often as well.
I recently got the pixel watch 2 (I use the s24 ultra), and immediately had an issue where the speaker would make a cracking noise when in use and the watch would overheat. That experience made me immediately go back to the website and start a return. I then proceeded to order the Samsung Galaxy Watch 6. Hopefully it won't have the same issues and maybe more features compared the the pixel watch 2. I do love the pixel watch form factor, though, and I am 100% reluctant to return it. It's such a beautiful design. I love the small size, and the way the glass "melts" over the edge. I just know with how active I am, though, that glass won't be beautiful for long lol 😂😅
I want a rectangular screen with high pixel resolution and easy to use customization software allowing me to personalize the watchface as well as the menu appearance as I please. Didn't find anything on the market to offer that. There's the cheap Chinese copies that offer you high pixel resolution in AMOLED ( See Colmi C81 ) , but extremely poor customization options being bound to the dime-a-dozen apps that work with Mystery Format .bin watchface files you cannot edit in any external software. There's Samsung original Gear S that offered everything I want but it's too old to be found even in second hand markets. There are the Huawei's like the one you're presenting but they have low pixel resolution screens with pixels clearly visible like a 2005 Nokia phone when using a white image/watchface/menu which is appalling considering the cheap Chinese copies manage to offer such quality screens. And then there's the Apple watches which are practically useless without being part of the iOs ecosystem , as well as 0 customization being bound the the app only . Overall, the smartwatch market needs more diversity to satisfy the picky buyers such as myself , although it seems to do just fine with people all over seeming pleased with the offerings . A combination of Apple/Chinese copy high pixel resolution AMOLED screen with Samsung's Watchface editor for Windows would be absolutely fabulous!

Does the Pixel watch 2 have more clock faces than the Galaxy watch classic 6?
There are 25 default face watches on the Pixel Watch & you can customize them. IDK about Samsung.

nice video :) i am thinking about getting the pixel 2 but i dont know if i should whait for the pixel 3 or just go out and get the 2 now :D
I'm getting the Pixel 2 now
Did they really put the crown on the left or is there a left handed version you ordered on accident?
I have a pixel watch 2 and the crown is on the right
I believe you can flip the screen so it doesnt matter

Either you have a defective watch or something is wrong with your fitbit setting (stride length or sleep sensitivity).
The fabric band on the samsung is great.. love it... samsung has the best trade in value.....and payouts on trades.

I just bought the Pixel Watch 2 on clearance at Target for $75. Great watch for the price!
Battery life?
@@Nishan-v2z battery life is much better than my pixel 1, it can last me maybe a day and a half without charging.
Having had Samsung galaxy and my current Google pixel watch 1... I prefer the Samsung. My Google pixel crashes often and not that great imo.
samsung watch is good, but it is not accurate, i have a samsung fold5, and have been using PW2 for fitness tracking, and it is pretty much spot on.
Not apple watch se. That thing was laughably bad. I dunno wtf Apple was thinking
Fir accuracy ... I'll choose pixel watch 2
Got a pixel watch 2 from cash converters for £100

Best smartwatch….to go with your android phone.
Nope, just best
Which one?
Ugh, I already have an Apple Watch but watching this video makes me want to trade it in for one of these lol.
After buying a pixel 7 pro paper weight I will never buy Google hardware never ever again
Bad experience faulty hardware or didn't you just like the phone in general
My 7 pro has been perfect since day one. Not sure what your issue is
