Many years later, when I was a very handsome 35, and she was much older and staring in Judging Amy, I happened to be approaching her in a Brentwood grocery. I broke into a broad smile, and she returned the smile. Then I blurted out, "My mom loves you!" The smile vanished, but she quicky recovered, and she said (in her Bostonian), "Oh yeah, I'm really popular with the moms." Then she smiled and winked. I'll never forget it and always love her for it.
