Can you paint in the top of the gold without add any other Substance? And on the top of the paint again you add this varnish?

Hi, I actually have a Part 2 to this video where I show how I paint on top of the goldleaf. I usually paint my design in white gesso, but white acrylic works well too. Louise 😊
