yeah, i don't understand the reasoning behind it. i'm American but not a religious person at all. Nor political, for that matter but I have my views of things if asked. I like to think i'm fair-minded about things. It seems like a lot are just fanatics and don't utilize three-dimensional thinking when it comes to certain discourse. Of course, with religion there tends to be not much in the way of logic so faith in that operates on an entirely different level. Politics relies on some party claiming divinity or truth while denouncing the other as the opposite. It's just smoke and mirrors, as far as I'm concerned, but there is massive misinformation, disinformation, propaganda, etc to muddy the waters so it's hard to really tell what's what. In today's society, as far as how social media portrays it anyway, people are so conditioned to not only hate opposing viewpoints, but the people from which these viewpoints are expressed as well. Total shitshow, but I digress. Lol. At any rate, I noted your observation also.

Also the Christian writers were writing the New Testament 35-100 years after his death. The disciples never wrote anything down themselves. They never learned how to read and write. Christianity never caught on until 300 after his death because Constantine, a Roman promoted to try and destroy the Jewish religion. Christ's birthday was chosen by Roman influence.. December 25 was regarded as a miracles because by that day, sunlight was getting longer. The Romans didn't know what caused the seasons. The Jewish leaders knew Jesus wasn't the messiah, described by the Jewish prophets and so they chose the false prophet to die given the choice. The Roams killed him, not the jews. The Romans killed anyone who broke Roman laws before and after the death of Jesus.
