I got this game for $40, and have loved every moment of it. I love playing the ranked multiplayer every month and unlocking new skins. Hopefully this gets added to the NSO expansion pass and they add more courses and characters in the future!
@@RonRon0110This comment is 2 years old 😂😂. Anyways, my buddies and I have been playing the crap out of Superstars since it launched nearly 3 years ago. We’re waiting for SMP Jamboree now!!
As a golfer, I really appreciate the detail Nintendo put into making the mode feel really accurate to what golf is as a game. Like obviously it’s Arcadey but everything is realistic in terms of the machinations of the course and the principles of golf. I love it way more than any pga golf game I’ve ever played Also depressing listening to the end of the video about strikers knowing the content barren desert it is.
It won’t happen. The cheapest you can get first party titels like this is 50 bucks. That’s why you need always buy the physical copy of those first party tripple A games, it always keeps value to sell second hand for at least 35 bucks.
Nice recap and overview of what the game has to offer, sort of sad to see how little people play it now but it does get repetitive. I am looking forward to the fun of Strikers though!
Good to know i was excited when they announced this game but never picked it up , i think it was something to do with the online wasnt indepth enough. Mario sports games never have a too competitive online
I agree. Mario strikers was very disappointing for me, but I still play Golf when I can and always have a good time. Best Mario sports game available on the Switch
Great informative video man. I haven't got a chance to get this game but I might try to grab it if I get a little extra funds because yes Strikers is going to be hype. I'm so ecstatic for that to come out. But yeah keep up the great work. 😁❤❤
Good video recapping everything. I definitely agree that the game is worth the money, but it frustrates me so much that they left out Toadstool Tour's camera controls. It felt like I could plan my shots much better. I'm also not a fan of the new way of adding spin. Toadstool Tour had better trajectory arcs when you adjusted where to hit your ball in that game, which made ring attack much easier and actually fun to play. Unless I'm missing something, ring attack is somewhat a guessing game in Super Rush. Edit: I'm mixing up ring attack in World Tour not feeling as easy to play as in Toadstool Tour, but the problem persists in Super Rush by not allowing you to see more of the ball's trajectory--nor can you aim it as well!
I kinda wanna get it just so I could use my Plum Mii I made after hearing about Mario Golf Super Rush. Sadly, it is the closest to having Plum since her N64 debut.
I loved this game and I was so disappointed that it only got 4 months of free updates. I still have a sliver of hope that they may do a paid DLC expansion (to be included in the Nintendo online expansion pass) with some retro courses reworked in the Super Rush style, new characters like Birdo, Diddy, and Nabbit, and maybe an extended adventure mode or sequel to it to incorporate all the newly added maps. I know it is a long shot dammit, but I am salty that Tennis Aces got 13 months of updates. That said once Strikers is out, I will get over it :)
I personally haven't played too much Aces, but from my time playing it and watching it I'll say that Aces seems to have a far better ranking system in multiplayer (I don't know how many people play). While Golf has a better campaign and more fun single player. Multiplayer Golf is still good though. so all in all I'd say Golf is better, but that's also my personal preference
I just got my first Nintendo system since the n64 so I've been throwing my money at Nintendo for the past 2 months, thinking about getting this because I love Mario sports games, I do have strikers battle league too but there's no type of single player content so hopefully this'll hold me over for longer while I binge on Nintendo hehe
I havent played the 3DS version but really want too, almost bought it a few times but never bit the bullet. I think waiting for a sale is 100% a good idea in 2024 for this game though, online I imagine does not have as many players as it use too
So, does anyone know if they are adding anything else to the game? I know there’s no more free updates but will there be paid DLC? Curious of what’s going on with new content if there will be any
Mario strikers is fun but most hours played WILL have to be online if u like the competition. Other than that the single player aspect has literally no replayability once you buy all the gear you need
Well I mean the graphics have obviously changed compared to 64 since there is 20+ year window. I think Super Rush is the best sports game on Switch and the golfing aspect doesn't get old to me. I'm not the biggest fan of the super shots and what not, but I have them disabled I didn't play a lot of the N64 one, but Ive seen a bit of it and i'd say this game is still great
They need a purchasable courses format like Mario Kart's. The game is fricking awesome. You can even strip it down to be close to regular golf Golf 2K has shitty controls. Mario's controls are way better.
Im not 100% sure since I dont have any friends but I imagine you need multiple joycons for everyone because of game modes like speed golf and battle golf. I feel for standard golf it should have an option to share 1 joy con because you can tee off one at a time, but id imagine multiple controllers needed
What they should have done was improved the crappy Adventure Mode. More Characters & Courses were the last thing this game needed. We didn't need more courses, we needed the game to actualy be more fun to play! I mean why are they not using the FANTASTIC formula used in the portable Mario Golf games with it's RPG style of play? That would have been an AMAZING basis for the standard 1 player mode! Those games were actually engaging. Why on earth is that not what they did with this? Very, very dumb of Nintendo here, it's not rocket science.
Single player has a good amount of modes you can play alone, with CPUs or local multiplayer and has a story mode about 10 hours long. I usually play multiplayer ranked as it's only 3 holes and very fast, but single player would still be fine and fill my golfing needs. TLDR: you basically get everything still
I never played the 3DS, but at it's core Super Rush is good golfing fun. There is a mode to run around the course like a lunatic, but you never need to play it if you dont want to (unless you're doing story mode, you might have to for a few things)
Is this game playable offline? I love pga tour but you can't play it without Internet. Why the crap would you make a portable game that needs Internet to play? Defeats the whole purpose of being portable!
No online would make it a lot less enjoyable, but I find myself playing against CPU's whenever I play the game in my free time or just do a different game mode. Adventure mode is also fun, just a little short. If you really wanna golf I say that no online can still justify the price
@@Burr_ still waiting patiently and hopefully for a new Mario baseball, hopefully Mario party jamboree is a signifier that they are tryna go back to their roots for their classic series’
I thought the new courses were not very good...I dont like the new style of having a wide mass of land and then just shooting the ball from different angles, and unfortunately both the snow course and Balmy Dunes are like that...I dont like the Par 3 only courses either....so basically, I only liked the final course added. This game was just filled with tons of bad decisions. A shame because there are indeed a couple of quality of life improvements to the game...but its such a letdown compared to Mario Golf Toadstool Tour on Gamecube...so much so, that sometimes its hard to appreciate the game...even if I do recognise that it is still a good game.
Toadstool tour is great! I also really enjoyed the gameboy color mario golf, but super rush was still pretty good to me. But will never yuck someones yum
I’d say Mario golf super rush id okay but it’s disappointing so I gave it a 6.5/10 but I’m looking forward to Mario strikers battle league and I think it’ll be better than Mario golf super rush

Personally in both games current states id buy Golf or Strikers
Nah, the game might have some content but the skillcap for the game alone is just bad and always has been bad. Every shot is auto swing from Toadstool tour, there is no challenge, no skill, it gets boring real fast with or without updates. I regret buying it.
