I am but he's not being fully utilized as he can actually do the work of 2 keyboardists but i guess they kept Steve Maggiora as they know that he needs the work and sings too.
Steve is absolutely on fire here!! Also I'm glad to see Shannon back! No offence to Robert ‘Sput’ Searight, but Shannon Forrest just seems to be a better fit.
Shannon, you bring such groove and excitement back! SO glad to see you back Buddy! Still got my pic with you and my little girl Faith! Appreciate you man. God Bless. Punch.
@@jaggassHis killer voice has raised the aging vocal quality of Toto so many bars, I wanna hear more from him! Would love to hear this lineup play Falling In Between with Steve Maggiora covering Kimball's vocal parts and Greg Phillinganes doing the chorus just like he did on the record and on the tour!
That's because he was on the edge of the stage with no floor monitors which would have made his voice more amplified but If that was Bobby he would have blown out your eardrums because he could sing so loud and that wasn't with the PA's set up yet.
While I simply love Simon, Sput and all the others, there's just something that really hits home with Shannon's playing with me. I think he's got Jeff's spirit in him playing this music but still has his own voice.
@@markgabriel5797 Tempo seems on top. Just an opinion . He’s a great and accomplished player. Just feels pushy in my opinion. I love all the players that have sat in with the core band over the years. I just have my opinion of the feel(lope)in relation to where the back beat sits.
@@markstringfellow2981 I don't necessarily disagree with that. However, on the last tour (with Sput) they seemed to push more tempos as opposed to the 40 trips tour where they seemed to drag. Regardless, It's the first gig and it was a fly date. So I'm sure things were a bit out of sorts. I also think Luke tells the drummers where he wants the tempos to sit. But they will dial it in. (Just my opinion) Shannon's feel is more like Jeff's than anyone who has been in that seat. 🍻
I feel that one hundred percent. Shannon usually drags he’s actually playing more on here. I get the nostalgia with shannon comparing him to jeff, but it’s really only the kit setup and the approach but man I’d get anxious listening to some of the time with shannon that I was dying inside haha. Shannon is a great drummer of course. Sput was nailing the energy and the new group had some fire to it even though it was fairly unrecognizable being Toto it at least allowed luke to push up to their modern heavy player styles making him push that extra bit seemingly to me anyways. I kinda liked the georgy porgy new arrrangment cus it was funky. The version they had been playing since 90 or so was just too slow I loved the 79-87 vibe more like the record, especially the agora lounge or some of the Japanese shows from 82 were some of my fav.
It was probably fine in the house. The problem is this is being recorded literally on the stage so you’re really getting actual stage volumes of everything which is the farthest from an ideal mix. If this was recorded from 20 or 30 feet back from the stage the mix I’m sure it would’ve been fine. Greg‘s keyboard was probably only in the house and in the in ear monitors so there was a virtually no stage volume of it. So the bottom line is they’re actually is no mix on stage like in the old days when you would have actual speakers for monitors. The only mix on stage is the one in their in ear monitors which obviously cannot be picked up from a recording from that cell phone.
I think the synth solo, like the record has been back awhile. Let’s hope it stays that way. That 202 1 version with the sax solo in place of the synths was horrible.
Greg Phillinganes! Yes Huge keyboard player Congratulations Toto The best of Toto
Shannon is back !!!! Yes !!!
And Gregg Phillinganes.
Sounds like Jeff, but still his own style.
Soooooo happy to see Greg back!!!

Welcome Shannon and Greg. Now if we can get Lenny Castro back too it would be more like Toto again
Stevie P wouldn't hurt either!
He's done touring.
@@jaggass I'm very aware. Thanks for sharing. It's good to dream! 🤣
Phillips would need to be there , and toto isn’t toto without a Porcaro
@@keithmulcahy3417 that's my favorite Lukather quote "it wouldn't be Toto without a Porcaro in the band"
Greg Phillinganes 👏👏 meu tecladista preferido!
I'm a Sput fan, but wow is it great to hear Shannon again!!!!
Steve is absolutely on fire here!! Also I'm glad to see Shannon back! No offence to Robert ‘Sput’ Searight, but Shannon Forrest just seems to be a better fit.
I get excited when I see Rosanna live with 8min+ in my feed.... And this didn't disappoint ❤
Welcome back Greg and Shannon. All the best Sput and X
The keyboard solo is back! Love it!
Sombody get the water, the band is already on fire!

Hi Greg nice to see you sooo nice to see you with Toto again ❤❤❤❤😊
So glad to see Greg back in the band!
Cool to see Greg back
Shannon, I missed you man!! So glad you're back!! Same to you Greg!! Can't wait to see you guys again!!
Steve Maggiora has to go so Greg can have his 4 keyboard rig back as he can do the work of 2 keyboardists.

@@jovostudios Spiritual Man is one i'd like to hear live. Even Dave wants to do it live.
Well - that is THE MUSIC ... GOOD ENERGY + POSITIVE VIBES ...
Love to see Greg back!
Wow. He was so close around the :50 mark that you could hear his voice acoustically over the actual PA output!
That's because he was on the edge of the stage with no floor monitors which would have made his voice more amplified but If that was Bobby he would have blown out your eardrums because he could sing so loud and that wasn't with the PA's set up yet.
Amazing!! ❤
Great seeing Greg back on the keyboard!
I Miss drummer Simon Phillips. Next to Jeff Picaro Simon Was The Ultimate Drummer for this Band.
Simon was THE best drummer since Jeff passed. Period. Always will be in my professional opinion.

OMG, Greg is back!!!!
Shannon and Greg is back ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ i love Sput so much, but Shannon sounds better for TOTO 🎉
Too fast.
Preferred Sput
That swing is back! We missed you Shannon! No offense to Sput or Simon, but Shannon just about nails the bounce that Jeff had.
Tempo is too quick. Id prefer Simon any day.
@@markstringfellow2981 what are you even talking about about? If anything 1bpm faster than the record. 🤣

Grande grag speriamo torni anche lanny castro per i live in Italia ultima volta che ho visto toto pazzesco con paich castro
Io li vado a vedere a luglio a Ostuni, anche perché sono pugliese
I miss the keyboard stand of doom Greg… get on that! 😂
Please turn the volume up when Greg is playing...he shouldn't be buried in the mix
I guess it’s because Luke’s amplifiers are pointing to the audience and whoever recorded this is in the front row

I miss Simon Phillips
Me too g he’s so unreplaceble w his dynamic tama kit
Greg is back whoop whoop we only need the rhythm guitarist back Simon Phillips & Leland back asap the best rhythm section in history ykyk
Joe Dub is great but this Bobby’s song!
Hello friend, spectacular video, which cell phone did you use to film it? Thank you for the answer.
Finally back to playing the keyboard solo!
Nice to see Greg and Shannon😀. I wonder for how long?
Until their contracts expire?
I guess I was wondering how long the tour is.

Wow Greg!!
We need trev back in the band sometime father v son
Greg philinganes ! ❤❤

When/where was this? The tour doesn't start until February.
Welcome back Shannon and Greg, however X and sput were fantastic !
Steve Maggiora can leave now as Greg can do the work of two keyboardists.

Nothing more than a good cover band with Steve Lukather as special guest. The real Toto were something else.
It is what it is. When Joe and Luke can’t do this anymore will be a sad day.
I totally agree!
They are great players who sound like a cover band.. I respect the musicianship, but it is what it is.
Exactly
The band will be over when they can't do it anymore but both are in great health and will continue for many more years yet.
They have a different lineup in every video I watch ,why not just call them the Steve Lukather band?
Are they 🥴? Never heard Steve singing that bad 😢
Old
Luke needs rest. They did Night of the Proms for a whole month until Christmas.
Simona nie ma
The rest can retire
There's nobody left in the band! And what the hell did Greg Williams swallow?
Who tf is Greg Williams
Boh! No David Paich, no Toto. No Bobby kimball no voice of toto.
Both are retired for medical reasons.
bad vocal...
Its almost 4 decades.
Lucky we can still listen and watch live .
What are you talking about? Joe sounds amazing for his age
