functional does have meaning. front squat and squat in general ARE functional. Such compound exercises will gear you to healthier life and is typically applied for athletic exercise routines

I have been powerlifting for 4 months now, and Ive noticed not just an improvement in my overall general performance, I’ve also noticed a significant increase in muscle mass. I have not had any decrease in my cardio performance. Personally PowerLifting has been great and I’m happy with the results.

Ironically, i went from strongman to powerlifting. Better overall health. It's true that strongman is more functional, but honestly it's to a certain extent. Farmers walk, carrying odd shapes. But I frequently had a lot of aches in my neck and back because it was in always in awkward positions. Multiple torn calluses from farmers as well.

Powerlifters are men of culture and aesthetics, who work hard to build healthy bode.
Crossfit athletes are moving company employees who tries to carry more and faster but for free and for cracked up joints and ligaments. So yeah they’re tough like a roided up employee of moving company.

Training for aesthetics it’s kind of silly because you’re gonna look good if you work out regardless girls aren’t particularly picky but if you’re going to a bodybuilding show by all means train for aesthetics but women just like muscles I swear the deciding factor between you and the next guy isn’t your chest being 2 inches smaller are you having slightly smaller shoulders then it’s actually a difficult choice for the majority of the time girls just like fit and strong men they don’t care and if you train for aesthetics to look good in the eyes of other people that you care too much I’m not saying, go out like a bum obviously care about how you look, but if you train a dedicate hours of your time, died in nutrition to look at a certain type of way in front of other people you care a little too much
