Victor Alexander hello I have been studying anthroposophy now for a lil over a year and I have to say that the great white brotherhood's purpose is to assist the seeker after truth not in anyway become his master. I have communicated with the gwb in the past a they merely provided some timely wisdom and sage advice. as far as I am aware the gwb is a collective of discarnate beings who achieved enlightenment on the physical plane and now dwell on another plane and offer ASSISTANCE to and not mastery over an individual. they give gifts of knowledge and advice to the sincere seeker. likewise all humans have a holy guardian angel a discarnate being who does essentially the same but in a much more efficient and personalized manner. I have been in contact with mine for about 5 years and it has lead me to Steiner and his anthroposophy
Steiner misunderstood the meaning of the Christ for the West. He probably thought that it was some kind of clean, extremely elevated goodness and self sacrifice, which is partially correct, but only one third of the story: the next third of the story is: if you don't submit to the doctrine, you will suffer eternal suffering in Hell, submit or go to Hell! The last third is: we're threatening with a spiritual communist rebellion, unless you submit -- this is a cover-up of the real rebellion, but this is how the concept of Christ functions in the Western society.
And I'd have to disagree with steiner, for the simple fact that how are we supposed to reconcile the differences eastern esoteric knowledge supplies to westerner's lack of it.
That is by no means disagreement, unfortunately it can be an obstacle that can prevent love wisdom and compassion to flow amongst us freely. Bc those spiritual characteristics come to us without being forced like others such as greed and jealousy and other darker traits of the human.... We must tech these babies love . The type of love that lets your enemy be your friend. Complete forgiveness even if you believe they do not deserve it. Christ like.
