I'm a 90s baby and have been listening to Queensryche since i was 6 or 7. I want to say this is the probably the most accurate cover you can attempt. Geoffs voice is incredibly hard to match. Well done.

Unbelievable ... wow. I saw the video title and was very skeptical when I pushed play. Wow .. what a voice: tremendous range, control and vibrato. Kinda ironic ... Geoff speaks in a baritone and soars as a tenor and I suspect Michelle's speaking voice is higher than the contralto she sings in for most of the song, and she just kills it ..... wow. She crushed the big notes but to stay in the lower register for most of the song with such precision and power. Damn ... she crushed it. I really like the character and timbre of her voice; it's remarkable. She reminds me of a blend of Sandi Saraya, Ray Gillen and or course Geoff. Damn ... she is simply unbelievable. That song is so hard, regardless of the big notes, it's the breathing control that is required to keep the tone right for most of the song and she just nails it. One final thing ... her register transitions are seamless and damn near flawless, and she does it effortlessly. Power, passion and precision .. truly well done. Thank you for posting this, wishing all of you continued success.

Geoff was a story teller first, a Painter heart and soul.. every cover I've heard since can't do that there working so hard to hit the notes.. you can't feel the message. This version has it all good on you! So good 👍

I saw them at Market Square Arena in Indianapolis twice in the late 80s early 90s.. They were the opening act for Iron Maiden. I remember it vividly bc I was tripping my balls off. Queensryche were very good but Iron Maiden made them look like amateurs.
It's now Oct 22nd, 2022, it's been 11 months since I've listened to this incredible cover. My God, you've nailed it. There are very few singers who can sing this gong. I hope you are at the minimum playing at rock clubs, and high-end bars. If not, WHY NOT???? Before I go, I have to listen one more time.

QR is one of my all time favorite bands. As a trio in this video, you 3 held it down as well as can be expected. First and foremost, the guitarist ... My God!! He captures the DeGarmo tone so much so, if you close yours eyes, you'd never know other then the very slight differences in pick technique. The Bassist .. holding down the bottom end as per recording and the vocalist... Yes, the vocalist is a female, hitting all the right notes. The power it takes to hit this, you can well see in her neck as she belts it all out. In the end, This is a strong testament of the vocal ability+range of a 24 yr old Geoff Tate as a baritone hitting the holy grail of an E5 that only a HANDFUL of vocalists could do on this planet as a MALE singer. Geoff was a GOD, (still is in some form as age catches up w/ us all).. but major props to this lady for keeping this incredibly underrated music alive.
